Okay, confession time. We need to talk about Fate Grand Order Camelot Part 2: Paladin; Agateram. And I might have some, shall we say, opinions.

Look, I love Fate. I really do. From Stay Night to Apocrypha, I'm generally on board. But Camelot Part 2...well...

The Holy Lance, or Holy Snooze?

Let's be honest, the first movie set the stage nicely. We got the feels, the grit, the tragic heroes being tragic. Camelot Part 2, though?

Did anyone else feel like it dragged? So. Much. Talking. Less stabbing. More staring dramatically into the middle distance.

Don't get me wrong, the animation was gorgeous. Those fight scenes? Chef's kiss. But pretty visuals can only take you so far.

I think the problem was pacing. It felt like they tried to cram everything in. Plot points were flying faster than Lancelot on a motorbike.

Bedivere's Burden (and Mine)

Poor Bedivere. What a guy, right? He carries the weight of the world (and a missing arm!). We get it, you're conflicted!

But did he really need that much screen time dedicated to soul-searching? I started feeling bad for his therapist...if he had one in Camelot, that is.

I know, I know, character development is important. But at some point, it just felt like filler. My attention started wandering, like a lost Servant in the desert.

The Lion King's Roar (or Whimper?)

Okay, Lion King… I mean, Artoria Pendragon. Powerful, majestic, slightly terrifying. But her motivations felt…muddy?

Was she trying to save the world? Or just being stubbornly lawful? I was never quite sure. Maybe that was the point, but I ended up feeling confused.

And let's not even get started on the whole "unforgiving sun" thing. I get it, symbolism! But it also made everyone look perpetually sweaty and uncomfortable.

The Knights of the Round Table? Cool designs, tragic backstories. But they also felt a little…flat? Like cardboard cutouts with shiny armor.

"But the lore!" some might cry. "You're missing the nuanced storytelling!"

Maybe I am. But sometimes, I just want cool fight scenes and explosions. Is that too much to ask?

My Unpopular Opinion (Brace Yourselves)

Here it comes... My unpopular opinion is this: Camelot Part 2 wasn't bad. It was just…underwhelming.

It had the potential to be epic. Truly epic. But it got bogged down in its own seriousness. Less fun, more philosophical navel-gazing.

I feel like the first movie hit the sweet spot, balancing action and emotion. The sequel, though, leaned too heavily on the latter. It felt like homework.

Look, I’m still a Fate fan. I’ll still watch whatever they put out. But Camelot Part 2? It's not going to be my go-to rewatch. I'd rather replay Babylonia.

Maybe I'm just being a grumpy Master. Maybe I'm missing some crucial detail. But hey, that's my take.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go summon some more Servants. Hopefully, they'll be less existential and more… stabby.
