El Señor De Los Cielos Season 8 On Netflix

Okay, let's talk about El Señor De Los Cielos. Specifically, Season 8. It's on Netflix, you know. And everyone seems obsessed.
Here's My Hot Take (Brace Yourselves)
Don't get me wrong. I watched it. I mean, of course I watched it. How could I not?
But… and this is where I might get tomatoes thrown at me… did anyone else think it was, well, a little… much?
Must Read
The Plot Thickens (and Thickens, and Thickens…)
The plotlines were like a plate of spaghetti. So many twists and turns. I sometimes lost track who was betraying whom. And why!
Aurelio Casillas, bless his complicated heart, seemed to be constantly escaping near-death experiences. Seriously, is that man made of Teflon?
I started wondering if he had a secret cloning machine hidden somewhere. Or maybe he’s just got nine lives. Like a very stylish, drug-lord cat.
The Drama, Oh, the Drama!
Every scene was dialed up to eleven. Explosions! Betrayals! Heartbreak! Did anyone ever just have a normal conversation?

I understand it's a telenovela. But even telenovelas need a little… chill time. A moment to breathe between all the shouting.
I almost felt sorry for the actors. They must have been exhausted from all the intense staring and dramatic monologues. Poor things!
The Unpopular Opinion Zone
Here it is. My confession. I sometimes fast-forwarded through scenes. Especially the ones where someone was crying in slow motion.
Please don't hate me! I still love the show (kind of). But Season 8 felt a bit… repetitive. Like they were running out of ideas.

Anyone else feel this way? Or am I the only one brave enough to admit it? Don't leave me hanging!
Let's Talk Characters (Spoiler Alert!)
Rutila was still… Rutila. Always in some kind of predicament. You just wanted to shake her and say, "Girl, make better choices!"
And what about Ismael? He went from being a somewhat reasonable character to… well, let's just say his decisions were questionable. Very questionable.
I did appreciate the new characters. They brought a fresh dynamic. Even if they were mostly there to be betrayed or killed off.

The Fashion, Though...
Okay, I have to give them credit. The wardrobe department deserves an award. Everyone looked impeccably stylish. Even when they were running from assassins.
Aurelio's suits were always on point. And the women? Their dresses were to die for. Figuratively, of course. (Mostly.)
Maybe I was paying more attention to the clothes than the plot. But hey, a girl's gotta have priorities.
In Conclusion (Sort Of)
El Señor De Los Cielos Season 8? Entertaining, sure. A bit over the top? Absolutely. Did I secretly enjoy it? Maybe. Don't tell anyone.

I will still be watching season 9 if it is there. Just because I want to be able to continue the discussion.
So, let’s pray that there is not too much betrayal in Season 9. And, of course, that Aurelio finds a good tailor. His suits are too nice.
"Plomo o Plata?" - A classic line from a similar show.
I just want the show to have some more moments, like that quote, that hit hard, you know.
