Dragon Ball Super Super Heroes Full Movie

Okay, let's talk about Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Did anyone else walk out of the cinema feeling...underwhelmed? Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad. But was it truly "super," or even "super hero" material?
The Good Stuff (I Guess)
The animation style was definitely a choice. It's like they traded muscles for Play-Doh textures. Cell Max looked pretty cool, though. Giant monster? Always a win.
Piccolo got a power boost! Finally! Let's face it, the guy was getting shafted for, like, three sagas straight. Orange Piccolo? I'm not sure about the name, but the power was welcome.
Must Read
Gohan's beast form was alright too. He finally remembered he likes fighting after neglecting it for years. Good for him.
My Unpopular Opinion: It Was... Fine?
Here's where I might lose some of you. I think the movie was just... okay. Perfectly cromulent. It didn't blow me away like some other Dragon Ball installments. Is that heresy?
The plot felt a little...recycled. Evil organization, androids, world domination? We've seen this before. More than once, actually. Anyone else getting Red Ribbon Army fatigue?

And the power scaling! Don't even get me started. Every movie, someone gets a new form that surpasses the gods. It's getting harder and harder to care when everyone's constantly ascending to a higher plane of existence.
The Android Antics
Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 were fun characters, I'll give them that. Their whole hero shtick was a nice twist. But were they really that menacing? Not really.
They felt more like comic relief than serious threats. Still, their designs were unique. They did provide some quality fight choreography.

Where Were Goku and Vegeta?!
Okay, this is a big one. Our Saiyan heroes were off-planet training. Convenient, right? It felt like they were sidelined to let Gohan and Piccolo shine. And I get that! But still...where were they?
Their brief appearance at the end felt like a cheap cameo. Just a quick "Hey, we're still relevant!" It's like the movie was trying too hard to push the "new generation" narrative.
Maybe I'm just a grumpy old fan. Yearning for the days of epic transformations and earth-shattering battles. But something felt missing in Super Hero. Maybe it was the stakes? Maybe it was the predictability?

Cell Max: A Missed Opportunity?
Cell Max had the potential to be a truly terrifying villain. A mindless, rampaging monster? That could have been awesome! He became more of a plot device than anything else.
Instead, he felt like a bigger, dumber version of the original Cell. He’s the Cell-Lite or Cell-Zero. He roared a lot. That's about it.
Seriously, they brought back Cell (sort of) and didn't even try to give him any character. He could have delivered the greatest punchlines. Such a missed opportunity.

Final Verdict: It's Still Dragon Ball
Despite my gripes, I still enjoyed parts of the movie. It's Dragon Ball. How can you not enjoy some of it? Piccolo getting respect alone makes it worthwhile.
But let's be honest. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is not the peak of the franchise. It's more like a decent filler arc. That’s the tea.
So, while everyone else is praising it as the greatest Dragon Ball movie ever, I'll be over here. Quietly re-watching the Saiyan Saga. Don’t @ me.
