Remember the hype? Dragon Ball fans were going wild. Everyone wanted a piece of that sweet, sweet Super Hero action.

And that meant tickets. Oh, the tickets!

Getting tickets felt like a real-life boss battle. You had to be quick, have your internet ready, and maybe even offer a Senzu Bean to your router.

Did anyone else feel like they were training for the Tournament of Power, just to get a seat? No? Just me? Okay...

And the prices? Let's just say my wallet took a bigger hit than Vegeta's pride after a Goku power-up.

Unpopular Opinion Time: Worth It?

Here comes the hot take. Brace yourselves!

Was the movie good? Sure, it was Dragon Ball. Gohan went Beast Mode (finally!). Piccolo got an orange upgrade.

But were those tickets really worth the effort, the stress, and the damage to my ramen budget? I'm not so sure.

Hear me out! The movie was available on streaming services shortly after the theatrical release.

I could have enjoyed the same Cell Max beating, Piccolo power-up goodness from the comfort of my couch in my pajamas.

The Pajama Advantage

Think about it. No lines. No overpriced popcorn. Just pure, unadulterated Dragon Ball bliss, AND sweatpants.

Plus, I could pause it to refill my snack bowl. Try doing that in a crowded theater!

Maybe this is just me getting old. Maybe I'm starting to value comfort over the "shared experience" of screaming "Kamehameha!" with a bunch of strangers.

Regrets? Maybe a Few...

Okay, okay, I admit. There was a little bit of FOMO when everyone was posting their movie pics online.

And, deep down, I did want to see that orange Piccolo in glorious IMAX.

But ultimately? I think I made the right choice. My wallet thanked me. My couch thanked me. And my collection of Dragon Ball pajamas definitely thanked me.

The Future of Dragon Ball Tickets

Will I be rushing to buy tickets for the next Dragon Ball movie? Maybe. Probably. Who am I kidding?
