Dragon Ball Super Season 2 Release Date 2021

So, Dragon Ball Super Season 2. Remember that mythical beast? The one everyone kept saying was "just around the corner" back in 2021?

Yeah, me too. It feels like we've been training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber just waiting for it. Except, time hasn't exactly been speeding up.

The Great 2021 Hype Train

2021! The year of… well, a lot of things. But for us Dragon Ball fans, it was supposed to be the year of the comeback. Whispers filled the air. Rumors exploded online.

Every blurry image was "proof." Every cryptic tweet was "confirmation." We were all detectives, convinced we'd cracked the case. We hadn't, of course.

Now? Crickets. Mostly.

My Unpopular Opinion? Good.

Here's where I might lose some of you. Deep breath. I think the delay is a good thing.

Gasp! I know! Blasphemy! But hear me out. Rushing things never ends well. Remember Dragon Ball GT? (Okay, okay, some of you love it. I respect that. Mostly.)

The point is, quality takes time. I'd rather wait for something truly amazing than get a mediocre continuation just to satisfy the hype machine.

What Were We Expecting Anyway?

Let's be honest, 2021 expectations were probably a little high. We wanted Universe 6 Tournament levels of excitement. We craved a villain even more terrifying than Jiren.

Basically, we wanted the show to peak again. That's a lot to ask. Maybe the universe needed a break from constant planet-destroying battles.

Plus, we did get the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie. And the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie. Those were pretty awesome, right?

The Manga: Our Savior?

While the anime remained MIA, the manga kept chugging along. Toyotaro continued Akira Toriyama's vision. We got new arcs! New characters!

Granolah, Gas, and even Black Frieza! These guys kept the flame alive. If the anime follows the manga, we're in for a treat.

Maybe the anime team was just waiting for the manga to build up enough material. Smart move, if you ask me.

So, Where Are We Now?

Officially? Still no concrete release date. The rumors still swirl, but they're less… frantic. We've learned our lesson. Maybe.

We're cautiously optimistic. We’re seasoned veterans of the hype wars. We've seen things, man. Terrible fan theories. Endless speculation.

But deep down, a little spark of hope remains. Maybe, just maybe, Dragon Ball Super Season 2 will arrive. And when it does? We’ll be ready. With our Senzu Beans and our power levels over 9000!

Until then, let's just rewatch the old episodes. And maybe lower our expectations... just a little.
