Dragon Ball Heroes Vs Super Dragon Ball Heroes

Okay, Let's Talk Dragon Ball Heroes. Seriously.
So, you know Dragon Ball, right? Big muscles, yelling, Kamehamehas galore. Cool. But then someone decided we needed more. Hence, Dragon Ball Heroes appeared. And then, like a Super Saiyan upgrade, came Super Dragon Ball Heroes. Is your head spinning yet?
The Obvious Difference: One's Older
Dragon Ball Heroes is the granddaddy. It's been around longer. Think of it like your slightly embarrassing older relative. They mean well, but their fashion choices...
Super Dragon Ball Heroes is the cooler, younger cousin. Shinier hair, wilder transformations, and a plot that makes even less sense. Which, let's be honest, is saying something.
Must Read
The Card Game Connection
Both are based on arcade games. You use cards, yell at the screen, and hope your power level is high enough. It's basically gambling for kids, but with more screaming.
The card game is the soul. No matter which version, it all began with card and the machine. Some people still play the arcade game in Japan.
Here's Where Things Get… Interesting (and Possibly Controversial)
Now, prepare yourself. Because I have an opinion. And it might be unpopular.

Ready? Okay.
I actually prefer the original Dragon Ball Heroes. There, I said it.
Let me explain! (sort of).
The Charm of the OG
Dragon Ball Heroes, in its slightly clunkier way, had a certain charm. It felt like a genuine extension of the Dragon Ball universe, albeit a wacky one.

The transformations, while still over the top, didn't feel quite as ludicrous. It was like a fun side-story, not a complete reality break.
Super's Super Problem
Super Dragon Ball Heroes, on the other hand, cranks everything up to eleven. Then twelve. Then probably explodes the dial entirely.
Every character has a new form every five minutes. We are talking about Saiyans with time powers, demon gods and multiversal threats coming out of nowhere.
It's visually impressive, sure. But it feels… disconnected. Like fan fiction on steroids.

Power Creep Gone Wild
Power levels in Super Dragon Ball Heroes are just absurd. Characters are achieving power that would take years or decades in Dragon Ball Super in just minutes.
It defeats the purpose of power scaling. You are just left with no sense of danger and no way to understand which character is superior at the end.
At the End of the Day...
Look, I get it. Super Dragon Ball Heroes is flashy and exciting. It has cool new characters and insane battles.

But sometimes, I miss the slightly more grounded (relatively speaking!) craziness of the original Dragon Ball Heroes.
Maybe it's nostalgia. Maybe it's just me being a grumpy old fan. But I stand by my opinion!
Plus, it is impossible to keep up with all the new characters and power-ups. Dragon Ball Heroes, with its simpler approach, feels more manageable.
What do you think? Am I completely off my rocker? Let me know!
