Does The Promised Neverland Have A Season 2

Okay, let's talk about something that still haunts my dreams: The Promised Neverland Season 2.
Did it actually happen? Or was it a collective hallucination?
A Season That Shall Not Be Named (Too Loudly)
I know, I know. Technically, yes, there was a second season. It existed. In the same way that a fruitcake exists at Christmas.
Must Read
You see it. You might even nibble at it. But do you really enjoy it? That's debatable.
My unpopular opinion? Let's just pretend it stopped after Season 1. Shhh. Don't tell anyone I said that!
Remember Season 1? Pure Gold.
Think back to those glorious days. Emma, Norman, and Ray plotting their escape from Grace Field House.

The suspense! The strategy! The tiny geniuses outsmarting demons! It was brilliant.
We were all on the edge of our seats, convinced The Promised Neverland would become anime royalty.
And then... well, then things took a turn. A sharp, unexpected, plot-detouring turn. Like taking a wrong exit on the highway and ending up in a cornfield.
Season 2: A Different Kind of Promised Land (Or Lack Thereof)
Season 2... attempted to cram so much manga content into so few episodes. It felt rushed. Like someone was speed-reading the source material.

Important arcs were skipped. Characters were changed. The whole vibe shifted. It was jarring, to say the least.
Remember all that intricate planning and cleverness from the first season? Replaced with plot conveniences and... well, let's just say less-than-stellar writing.
Did anyone else feel like they were watching a fan-fiction version of The Promised Neverland? Because I sure did. No offense to fan fiction writers, of course! Some of you are amazing!
"The Promised Neverland Season 2? I plead the fifth!"
The "Speedrun" of Anime Adaptations
It felt like they were doing a speedrun of the entire manga. "Gotta get through it all! Gotta reach the ending!"

Except, speedrunning doesn't usually lead to a satisfying experience. You miss all the details, the nuances, the character development.
And that's exactly what happened with Season 2. We missed so much!
Let's Just Re-Watch Season 1, Okay?
So, what's the solution? Simple. Re-watch Season 1. Over and over again. Bask in its brilliance.
Pretend Season 2 doesn't exist. It's easier that way. Trust me. Your mental health will thank you.

Imagine a different, maybe more faithful, adaptation of the later arcs. A world where Emma's journey continues with the same care and attention to detail as the first season.
Maybe someday, that dream will come true. Until then, I'm sticking with my headcanon: The Promised Neverland is a one-season masterpiece. End of story.
Who's with me? (Please say you're with me. I can't be the only one who feels this way!)
Maybe this is an unpopular opinion. But hey, someone had to say it!
