Does Poison Ivy Come Back In Harley Quinn

Okay, let's talk about something important. Something that keeps me up at night. No, not the Joker's latest scheme.
It's about Poison Ivy and her on-again, off-again love for...herself? Well, and maybe Harley Quinn. Mostly herself, though. Does she really, truly, come back in that relationship?
Is Ivy Really "All-In?"
Look, I love Pamela Isley. Who doesn't? She's powerful, intelligent, and fiercely protective of the environment.
Must Read
But I have a confession. I think she's a bit of a commitment-phobe, especially when it comes to Harley. And maybe, just maybe, a little bit selfish? Unpopular opinion, I know!
Hear me out! It feels like she's always testing Harley. Seeing how far she'll go. Waiting for her to mess up.
The Constant Push and Pull
Their relationship is like a thorny vine. Beautiful, but you know, potentially very painful. You wouldn't want to grab it carelessly.

Ivy gives and takes. She's there, then she's not. She's committed, then she's ready to run off to save the Amazon, again. Valid, but still!
It's exhausting to watch sometimes. Like, girl, make up your mind!
The Selfish Scientist?
Okay, maybe "selfish" is too strong. But Ivy's priorities are always...well, Ivy's priorities. And the plants. Okay, mostly the plants.

She wants to save the world. Which is admirable! But sometimes, it feels like Harley is just along for the ride. A very entertaining, chaotic ride, but still a passenger.
Does she really see Harley for who she is, or just as a fun, dangerous sidekick who also happens to be very good at cuddling?
My (Probably Wrong) Theory
Here's my crazy theory. Ivy loves the idea of Harley. The chaos, the loyalty, the complete and utter lack of filter.

But does she love the real Harley? The one with the baggage, the insecurities, and the occasional need to blow things up for no good reason? I'm not so sure.
Deep down, I think Ivy is afraid of real intimacy. She's built walls around her heart thicker than the Amazon rainforest.
So, Does She Come Back?
Ultimately, I think Ivy does come back. Eventually. Kicking and screaming, maybe, but she comes back. Why?

Because despite everything, Harley brings something into her life that she can't find anywhere else: genuine, unfiltered joy. And someone who accepts her plants. Well, most of the time.
But will she ever be fully "back?" Will she ever truly put Harley first? I remain cautiously pessimistic. It's always a maybe. A thorny, beautiful maybe. A maybe that keeps me watching, and maybe a little frustrated.
What do you think? Am I being too harsh on our favorite plant lady? Or is Ivy just forever destined to be a little bit emotionally unavailable? Let me know!
Unpopular opinion: Ivy is the complicated one, not Harley.
