Does Persona 5 Strikers Have Social Links

Okay, let's talk Persona 5 Strikers. We all love the Phantom Thieves, right? But something feels... different.
Specifically, the social links. Or, more accurately, the lack of classic social links. Prepare for my slightly controversial take.
Social Links? Not Really
Everyone says Strikers doesn't have social links. Straight up. Case closed.
Must Read
But hear me out. I think it sort of does. Just... in a weird, action-packed, road-trip kind of way.
Bonding Through Beatdowns
Instead of hanging out at Leblanc, you're beating up Shadows. Think of it as group therapy through strategic combat!
The Bond system is basically social links in disguise. Level it up, get perks. Sound familiar?
It's not the same, I know. We aren't choosing dialogue options over coffee. But is it nothing?

Road Trip Bonding: The Unsung Hero
A huge part of social links in Persona 5 was spending time with people. Getting to know their stories.
And what is Strikers if not one giant road trip? You’re literally stuck in a van together!.
Late-night talks around the campfire? Come on! That's peak social link material.
Unpopular Opinion Time
Okay, brace yourselves. I actually prefer the Strikers version of social links. Gasp!

Don’t get me wrong, I love the original system. But sometimes those hangout sessions felt… forced.
Like I was only hanging out to max out a stat. In Strikers, the bonding feels more organic.
Action Speaks Louder Than Words
Fighting together, saving people together. That builds a stronger bond than small talk about school, right?
Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm a sucker for seeing the Phantom Thieves being total badasses.

But I think there's something special about strengthening friendships through shared action. Not just shared lattes.
A Different Kind of Connection
Think about Ryuji. Do you really need another awkward hangout to know he's your bro? Nah.
Just watching him go all-out against a rampaging Shadow says it all. Friendship cemented in pixelated violence.
It's not perfect, sure. But the Strikers approach allows characters to develop through the plot, not just next to it.

So, Does It Really Have Social Links?
Okay, fine, technically it doesn't. The purists are probably screaming right now.
But if you squint, tilt your head, and maybe had one too many coffees... it's close enough for me.
It's a new spin on a classic mechanic. Is Strikers as revolutionary as Persona 5? No. But it’s a fun summer vacation with your best buds!
Let me know if you agree (or violently disagree!). I’m ready for the debate!
