Okay, folks, last week's A Discovery of Witches had us all gasping, right? I mean, seriously, my jaw is still somewhere near the floor of Elizabethan London. Ready to dissect it?

Let's start with Emperor Rudolf. Talk about a moody dude! One minute he's all, "Let's chat, witches!" The next, he's giving off major "I'm about to start a witch hunt" vibes.

And what's with the constant demands for demonstrations? Showmanship at its finest, I say! Although, seeing Diana and Matthew perform their magic was admittedly pretty cool.
My unpopular opinion? I kind of liked Rudolf's weird, theatrical energy. He was like a dramatic arts student directing a very expensive play. But maybe I'm alone on that one.

Speaking of tension, let's not forget the knotted spell drama! Seriously, those knots gave me anxiety. It was like watching a very complicated friendship bracelet competition with potentially world-altering consequences.

I think my unpopular opinion is that this Queen is more fascinating that the main characters in the show. She needs her own spinoff. Who's with me?

Then there's the whole love situation brewing. Matthew's past is causing some serious ripples. And honestly, his inner demons are exhausting.
Can someone just give him a hug and a therapy session? He needs both. STAT!
And Diana? She's trying so hard. It is like she is trying to keep up with the drama and the magic and the brooding vampire. Girl, I feel you.
Overall Verdict: Still Hooked (Despite the Knots)
So, overall, another gripping episode of A Discovery of Witches. Even if the plot is more tangled than my earphones in my bag. I'm addicted.
The acting is superb, the costumes are divine, and the drama is high. What more could you want?
And I can't forget to add. The scenery is amazing! The historical accuracy, even if a bit exaggerated, is super good. Hats off for the production team.
Seriously, I just need answers. And maybe a little less internal angst from Matthew. But who am I kidding? That's probably asking too much.
