Okay, let's talk about the Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc intro song. "Zankyosanka," right? Everyone seems to adore it. I get it; it's energetic.

But... is it just me, or is it slightly overrated? Don't get me wrong, Aimer has an amazing voice. The visuals are stunning, absolutely gorgeous.

The Hype Train

Seriously, though, the hype train for this intro was intense. Everyone was posting about it. My social media was flooded. It was inescapable!

And maybe that’s part of my problem. Overexposure can kill anything, even the coolest demon-slaying tunes. Maybe if I hadn't heard it everywhere, I'd feel differently.

A Perfectly Good Song...

Look, "Zankyosanka" is a perfectly good song. It's catchy. It gets you pumped for some demon action. But is it the best anime intro ever? I’m not so sure.

Compared to some other anime openings, it feels a little...generic? There, I said it! Prepare for the internet to come for me.

Here's my unpopular opinion: The song itself is great, but the over-the-top reactions made me recoil. It felt like I had to love it, and that automatically made me want to resist. We've all been there, right?

I think the issue lies with the overblown celebration of it. The song didn't stand out as much as the collective love for it. It's like everyone wanted it to be the best so much, they willed it into existence.

The constant bombardment of "Zankyosanka" remixes and covers didn't help. My ears needed a break! Can we agree to give the song a little rest?
