Especially with the Entertainment District Arc, things really heated up. Tengen Uzui is a total boss.

Okay, so maybe I’m stating the obvious. Episode 8 aired quite some time ago. I remember the anticipation. The wait felt like forever!

But let's be real, it wasn't perfect. We’ve all watched it, rewatched it and then some.
Unpopular Opinion Time: It's Overhyped.
Okay, okay, hear me out! The animation was stunning, I admit. The fight scenes were epic. But...
Did anyone else feel like things got a little...dragged out? It felt like there were moments where the emotional beats were a bit forced.
I understand the need for character development. But did we need that much? Just saying.
And don't even get me started on the constant flashbacks. I love a good backstory, but it interrupted the pacing. Like, can we get back to the demon slaying, please?
Maybe I'm just impatient. Probably. But there were moments I felt a bit bored.
Tengen Uzui is Still Awesome, Though.
Despite my complaints, I’m still a fan of Tengen Uzui. Flashy and powerful, that's what I want in a Hashira.
His backstory was actually really interesting, admittedly. And his dedication to his wives? I respect that!
He deserves all the praise he gets. I just think the entire episode built him up too much, then, some folks found some fault in his actions.
Also, Tanjiro is still the best boy. No arguments allowed. I will fight you on this.
The Rest of the Arc...
While I may have my issues with Episode 8, the rest of the arc was generally enjoyable. The final showdown? Amazing!
The emotional rollercoaster? I was definitely crying by the end. Don't tell anyone.
Demon Slayer knows how to pull at our heartstrings. And sell us tons of merchandise. They're very good at that!
So, yeah, I'm still looking forward to more Demon Slayer. Just hoping for maybe a little less filler next time.
