Date A Live Season 4 How Many Episodes

Okay, let's talk Date A Live Season 4. Specifically, how many episodes it has.
The Episode Count: Not Exactly a Mystery
The official answer? Twelve episodes. Yup, a neat and tidy dozen. Seems simple enough, right?
But is it enough?
Here's where my unpopular opinion comes in. I think it could've used a few more. Hear me out!
Must Read
Twelve episodes felt... rushed, maybe? Like they were speed-dating the plot. We needed more time with those adorable, yet dangerous, Spirits.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the effort. But the source material is vast! Squeezing it all in felt like trying to fit into my old jeans after Thanksgiving.
More Episodes, More... Everything!
Imagine if we had, say, fifteen episodes. Or even sixteen?

Think of the character development! More chances to see Shido charm the socks off everyone. More opportunities for hilarious misunderstandings.
And the fights! Those Spirit battles are epic. More episodes mean more epicness. It's simple math, really.
Unpopular Opinion Time: Filler Isn't Always Bad
I know, I know. The word "filler" sends shivers down some anime fans' spines. But what if that filler was... good?
A few lighthearted, slice-of-life episodes? I'd be so down! Imagine a beach episode where everyone just tries to relax (and inevitably fails spectacularly).

Those moments build the characters and their relationships. They make the big, dramatic stuff hit even harder. Plus, more screen time for Kurumi? Always a win.
The Pacing Problem (Maybe?)
Twelve episodes meant a pretty fast pace. Story arcs zipped by. Character introductions felt a little brief.
It's like the anime was trying to catch a train. A train that was already leaving the station. Breathless.

And I’m not saying it was bad. Just that a few extra episodes could have let the story breathe.
Maybe it's just me
Perhaps I'm being greedy. Maybe twelve episodes is the perfect amount for Date A Live Season 4.
But I can't help but feel like we were robbed of some potential goodness. More plot development! More Tohka eating ridiculous amounts of food!
Ultimately, I still enjoyed the season. But I’ll keep dreaming of that alternate reality where it got a few extra episodes. A reality where the pacing was perfect, and the Spirit shenanigans were never-ending.

What do you think? Am I alone in this? Or did you also feel like Season 4 could have used a little more breathing room?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments. And remember, it's just my opinion. So, please don't send the Anti-Spirit Team after me!
At the end, let’s be honest, as long as we get to see Shido and his adorable harem of Spirits, do we really care?
Okay, maybe a little.
