Dancing With The Stars Season 30 Episode 1

Okay, people, let's talk Dancing With The Stars Season 30 premiere! The glitter! The spray tans! The questionable music choices! It was a lot, even for me.
First off, let's be real. Half the fun is seeing who can actually dance and who looks like they're trying to swat flies. And judging the outfits, of course. That's a crucial element.
The Contenders (and Pretenders?)
JoJo Siwa and Jenna? Amazing. I mean, seriously, that was a fantastic start to the season. Everyone expected it, but they delivered.
Must Read
Amanda Kloots? Solid. She’s got that Broadway background, so no surprise there. She definitely came ready to compete.
I'm not gonna lie, I had zero expectations for some folks. And some of them… met them. Or didn't. That's the fun, isn't it?

My Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Here's where I might get some hate. I'm just gonna say it. Melora Hardin felt…overhyped? Maybe it was the song choice, but I wasn't blown away.
Don't get me wrong, she's a good dancer! I just expected a bit more 'wow' factor. Maybe it'll come later. I hope so!
Also, anyone else think Brian Austin Green seemed a little… stiff? I get it, dancing is hard. And his situation with Sharna is like a story straight out of a soap opera, but still. Needs work.

The "Oh, Bless Their Hearts" Category
Okay, this is where we show some love to those who are clearly trying their best, even if their best involves a lot of awkward steps and forced smiles.
Martin Kove? A legend! He was out there giving it his all. He clearly needs more training, but his effort made my heart melt. I admire him just for getting on the dance floor!
And Kenya Moore? She brought the drama and the sass! Technically perfect? Nah. Entertaining? Absolutely. Give her a few more weeks!

More Unpopular Opinions!
Here's a hot take: I’m kinda over these reality star contestants. I mean, they always bring the drama, but I wanna see more dancers who are actual dark horses.
It's fun to see a surprise, someone who isn't already a household name. Let's get some athletes or scientists in there! Mix it up!
And another one: I miss Len Goodman. I do. Bruno is entertaining, but I need that classic ballroom expert grumpiness back in the mix.

The Bottom Line
Overall, Season 30 is off to a promising start. We’ve got some clear frontrunners, some lovable underdogs, and a whole lot of potential for drama both on and off the dance floor.
I'm ready for the journey, even if it means yelling at my TV every Monday night. Bring on the sequins, the tears, and the questionable judging decisions! It's all part of the fun.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go practice my cha-cha in my living room. Don't judge. You know you want to, too!
