Daily Life With My Tsundere Little Sister

Life with Kana, my little sister, is… an experience. She’s what you’d call a tsundere, though I just call her complicated.
Mornings with a Grumble
Waking her up is like defusing a bomb. I usually just leave a cup of coffee and a small pastry near her door.
Then I run. Seriously, run.
Must Read
If I try to actually wake her, I get a, “It’s not like I wanted you to wake me up, baka!” accompanied by a pillow thrown at my head.
Breakfast Banter (Sort Of)
Breakfast is usually a quiet affair. Kana will sit at the table, meticulously avoiding eye contact.
If I make her favorite pancakes, she’ll scoff and say, "Hmph, these are alright, I guess."
But I always catch her sneaking extra bites. The corner of her mouth twitches upward for a split second, almost like a smile.

School Days and Hidden Kindness
Walking to school together is a minefield of potential embarrassment. I try to act cool and casual, even when she’s giving me the death stare.
If a car speeds by and splashes us with water, she’ll grumble about how clumsy I am. But she's the one who always pushes me out of the way.
Then she’ll act like nothing happened. Absolutely nothing.
The Baka Umbrella Incident
One time, it started raining and I forgot my umbrella. Kana rolled her eyes dramatically. "Whatever, I guess you can use mine."
The umbrella was a tiny, pink, frilly thing with kittens on it. Utterly humiliating.

But she refused to let me walk in the rain. She just kept muttering about how I’d catch a cold and be a burden.
After School Antics and Gaming Fury
After school, Kana transforms into a gaming demon. Her skills are seriously impressive.
But if I dare to beat her in a match, all bets are off. Controllers might be thrown, accusations of cheating will fly.
She’ll say things like, “It’s not like I care if you win, dummy! I was just letting you have your fun!"

Helping (Sort Of) With Homework
If I’m struggling with my homework, Kana will pretend not to notice. She’ll conveniently be engrossed in something else.
But then, she’ll subtly start humming the answer or “accidentally” leave her notes open to the right page.
If I thank her, she'll deny everything. “I wasn’t helping you, you idiot! Just trying to get you to shut up.”
Evenings and (Almost) Sincere Moments
Evenings are usually quiet. We might watch TV, though Kana will always insist on choosing the program.
If I'm feeling down, she’ll never directly ask what's wrong. But she’ll leave my favorite snack on my desk.

Sometimes, late at night, I hear her practicing the piano. She gets really shy about playing in front of people.
A Tsundere's Lullaby
One night, I couldn't sleep. I heard Kana quietly playing a lullaby on the piano.
It was beautiful. When I thanked her the next morning, she blushed furiously and said, “Shut up! I wasn’t playing for you!”
Life with my tsundere little sister is chaotic, confusing, and occasionally infuriating. But underneath all the bluster and denial, I know she cares. And that’s what makes it all worthwhile.
It's not like I like having a big brother or anything... baka!
