Okay, here's where I get controversial. I'm starting to suspect there is no grand treasure. There might be something, but I believe the treasure has been found.

Maybe it was a small stash of pirate booty. Or a cleverly hidden time capsule of mundane items. Or maybe that is just what they want us to believe!

I'm not saying it's not exciting. Just... maybe lower your expectations a tad.
