So, the ending, while sweet, felt like it was pushing a "grow up and be normal" message. A bit of a shame, no?

Why squash that out completely in the end?

Okay, here's my unpopular opinion. I would have preferred a bittersweet ending.

An ending where they accepted their chuunibyou as part of themselves. An ending that shows that it's okay to be different.

Maybe some small steps toward "normality" but not a full-blown transformation.

Life isn't always sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes, it's awkward silences and accidental explosions.

A more realistic ending would have resonated more with the themes of the show. At least for me.

Still a Great Story

Don't get me wrong, Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions is still a fantastic story.

The characters are lovable, the animation is beautiful, and the premise is hilarious.

I just think the ending could have been… different. Maybe even braver.
