Chicago Med All The Things That Could Have Been

Okay, let's be honest. We all watch Chicago Med. We yell at the screen. We judge decisions. And secretly, we all think we could run that hospital better.
Romance Remix: What If...?
Let's start with the obvious: the love lives. Will Halstead. The man had more romantic almost-misses than a clumsy bull in a china shop.
What if he'd ended up with Dr. Natalie Manning? I know, I know, it was toxic. But what if they'd gone to couples therapy? Maybe they could have worked through their baggage! Don't @ me.
Must Read
And April and Ethan? I was rooting for them. But seriously, that infertility storyline was brutal. What if they had explored other options earlier? Like adoption?
Choi's Chaotic Choices
Speaking of Ethan Choi, his whole army vet thing was cool at first. But did he have to bring all that drama into the ED?
What if he had just focused on being a doctor? Fewer PTSD-induced meltdowns, more saving lives. Just a thought.

Also, his sister, Emily? Bless her heart. That whole drug addiction storyline was tough to watch. Maybe a different intervention strategy earlier on could have helped.
Professional Pivots
Now, let's talk about careers. Remember Dr. Connor Rhodes? He left because his dad was shady.
What if he had stayed and taken down his dad from the inside? Think of the power plays! The dramatic tension! The sweet, sweet revenge!

And Sharon Goodwin, bless her soul, is always dealing with budget cuts. What if she had won the lottery? No more worrying about money! She could buy everyone raises!
The Case of the Missing Ward
Remember when the show started, and it felt like we saw every corner of Med? Now it's all ED, all the time.
What if they brought back some of those old sets? Show us the psych ward! The rehab center! Give us some variety!
And speaking of variety, more weird medical cases, please! I want to see a patient who thinks they're a cat. Or someone allergic to Wi-Fi. You know, keep it interesting.

Character Conundrums
Let's not forget about the supporting characters. Where did some of them go anyway? Remember that sassy nurse Doris? Bring her back!
And what about Maggie's personal life? She's awesome, but we barely see her outside the hospital. Give her a fun subplot! Maybe she starts a competitive knitting club.
And can we all agree that Dr. Crockett Marcel needs a personality transplant? He's just... there. Give him a quirk! A hobby! Anything!

Unpopular Opinions (Maybe?)
Okay, here's a controversial one: maybe fewer explosions? I know, I know, it's dramatic. But sometimes it feels a little… much.
And another thing: could they please stop with the cliffhangers that are resolved in the first five minutes of the next episode? It's exhausting!
Ultimately, I still love Chicago Med. It's my guilty pleasure. But hey, a little wishful thinking never hurt anyone, right?
So, what do you think? What are your Chicago Med "what ifs"? Let me know!
