Cast Of Curb Your Enthusiasm - Season 10

Okay, let's talk Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 10. Specifically, the cast. We all love it, right? Mostly. But I have some thoughts. Maybe some unpopular thoughts.
The Core Four: Still Pretty, Pretty, Pretty Good
Larry David, obviously, is the glue. Can't have Curb without Larry being Larry. His social awkwardness is our comedic gold.
Jeff Garlin as Jeff Greene? Perfect. He's the sleazy yet lovable manager we all secretly wish we had (or maybe not).
Must Read
Cheryl Hines as Cheryl David remains a gem. Her reactions to Larry's antics are priceless. I miss their married dynamic, though!
And Susie Essman! Susie Greene is a force of nature. Her insults are legendary. Honestly, I sometimes wish she'd yell at me (don't judge!).
The Supporting Players: Hit or Miss?
J.B. Smoove as Leon Black? A controversial opinion: I think he's sometimes overused. Don't get me wrong, he has his moments. But Season 10 felt like a little too much Leon.

Richard Lewis is always a welcome sight. His self-deprecating humor is on point. The health scares add a layer of… something. Relatability? (Is that weird?).
Ted Danson! He's so charming, even when playing a version of himself that's kind of a jerk. His rivalry with Larry is consistently hilarious.
But, and this is a big but, did anyone else feel like some of the guest stars fell a little flat in Season 10? I'm not naming names. Okay, maybe just one: Isla Fisher. She's great, but it felt... forced?

Recurring Characters: Where's My Funkhouser?
I missed Marty Funkhouser. Bob Einstein's absence was definitely felt. His dry wit and pathetic charm were sorely missed.
We got some Wanda Sykes, which is always a win. She delivers zingers like no other. I need more Wanda in my life (and on my TV).
And what about Loretta Black? Her appearances are always memorable. The awkwardness she brings is chef's kiss.

New Additions: Did They Add Anything?
Vince Vaughn as Freddy Funkhouser was... fine. He didn't ruin anything. But he didn't exactly elevate the season either.
Cleto Escobedo III as himself? A fun addition to the music scene of Curb. Adds a nice, real feel.
I feel some of the new side characters weren't given enough to do. They felt more like plot devices than fully realized people. Anyone else agree?

The Unsung Heroes: The One-Off Gems
It's the random people Larry encounters that really make the show shine. The annoying neighbor. The overly sensitive barista. Those people are gold.
These brief encounters highlight Larry's social ineptitude perfectly. They are the heart of the show, and they are always perfectly cast.
So, yeah, Season 10's cast was good. But maybe, just maybe, it could have been great. Less Leon, more Funkhouser. That's all I'm saying.
And please, more Susie! Always more Susie!
What are your thoughts? Don't @ me if you disagree (but also, please do, I need validation!).
