Brooklyn Nine Nine Season 7 Episode 11 Watch

Okay, Let's Talk "Valloweaster"
Season 7, episode 11 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It's called "Valloweaster." I have some...feelings.
And maybe, just maybe, you do too. Let's dive in!
Rosa's Gotta Rosa, Right?
The main plot? Rosa needs Jake and Boyle's help. Seems straightforward enough, amirite?
Must Read
She's trying to help a kid named Raymond Holt Diaz. My first thought? Hilarious name.
But is the whole storyline a tad predictable? Like, a very light dusting of predictable sprinkled on top of a slightly-overcooked plot?
Jake and Boyle, Still Classic?
Look, I love Jake and Boyle's antics. Their dedication to each other (and solving cases in the most absurd ways) is legendary.
But sometimes...do their shenanigans feel a little…forced? Like they're trying a bit too hard to be the classic Jake-and-Boyle duo we all adore?

Don't get me wrong, their heart is always in the right place. However, sometimes it feels like they are trying too hard.
The Easter Egg Hunt of Disappointment
The Easter egg hunt for clues? Cute concept, I'll give it that. Raymond Holt Diaz is in the system?! Unexpected.
But did it really deliver the comedic punch we expect from Brooklyn Nine-Nine? I’m not fully convinced, you guys.
Maybe my expectations were too high. Perhaps I wanted more ridiculousness and less…mild confusion.
Holt's Struggle: The Real Gem?
Okay, unpopular opinion time. The real highlight of this episode? Holt and his struggle to adjust to his demotion.

His inability to handle administrative tasks is gold. His deadpan delivery during the presentation? Chef's kiss. That Captain Holt character is the best.
Watching him try (and fail) to be a "good little officer" is comedic genius. I am living for it!
The Terry Factor
Terry being overly enthusiastic about his yogurt commercials? Endearing. Andre Braugher is just a great actor, let's admit that.
But did it feel a little…disconnected from the main storyline? Like a separate sketch thrown in for laughs?

Terry Crews really is a treasure, though. His scenes are always entertaining.
Overall Thoughts (Brace Yourselves)
Okay, deep breaths. "Valloweaster" isn't a bad episode. Not by any stretch.
But compared to other episodes in the season? It lands somewhere in the middle for me.
It's enjoyable, yes, but not mind-blowingly hilarious. More of a chuckle than a full-blown belly laugh.
The Verdict
Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm being overly critical of my beloved Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

But sometimes, even the best shows have a few episodes that are just…okay. This episode is okay.
Let's be honest. There are better episodes out there to re-watch repeatedly.
But Hey, We Still Love B99!
Even if "Valloweaster" isn't my absolute favorite, I still love Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
The characters are fantastic, the writing is usually sharp, and the humor is often brilliant.
So, I will continue to be a loyal fan. Even if I have the odd unpopular opinion now and then. Nine Nine!
