Brooklyn Nine Nine Season 4 Episode 18 Dailymotion

Okay, let's talk Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Specifically, Season 4, Episode 18. You know the one.
Yeah, the one sometimes you're looking for on Dailymotion at 3 AM when you probably should be sleeping. No judgement here. We've all been there, right?
The Case of the Missing Episode (and My Unpopular Opinion)
So, "Moo Moo." It's a serious episode. It deals with racial profiling.
Must Read
Boyle has an incident. He reports a fellow black police officer acting suspicious in his neighborhood, unaware the officer is also a fellow officer. That officer turns out to be Terry Jeffords. It's heavy stuff.
Here's where my unpopular opinion comes in. Ready? Deep breath.
I think it's… a little overrated.
Don't get me wrong! I applaud the show for tackling such a sensitive issue. It's important. Television needs to do that.

But compared to some of the other gems in Season 4? I just don't think it holds up as well on repeat viewings. Maybe that's just me.
Why I Said It (Please Don't Throw Tomatoes)
The comedy feels… muted. Understandably so! It's a serious episode.
But Brooklyn Nine-Nine is built on its hilarious, quirky characters. "Moo Moo" dials that way down.
I missed the silly antics. I missed Jake Peralta's absurd schemes. I missed Rosa Diaz's barely-concealed smiles when someone does something incredibly stupid.

The plot, while important, felt a little… preachy? I know, I know, sacrilege! But it felt less like a natural storyline and more like a Very Special Episode™.
And listen, I get the point! Racial profiling is terrible. It needs to be addressed. But sometimes, I just want to laugh at Captain Holt's deadpan delivery.
Plus, and this is a small thing, but the resolution felt a little too neat.
Like, everything wraps up a little too nicely. I appreciated the hopeful ending but, it felt a little unrealistic.

Am I the Only One?
Look, I know this is probably an unpopular opinion. "Moo Moo" gets a lot of praise. Deservedly so, for its message.
But for pure entertainment value? I'd personally rather re-watch "The Night Shift" or "The Bank Job" any day. Give me Scully and Hitchcock's antics over serious drama any time. Sorry, not sorry.
Maybe it's because I watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine to escape the real world for a little while. And "Moo Moo," while well-intentioned, brings the real world crashing in.
So next time you're scouring Dailymotion at an ungodly hour, trying to find a Brooklyn Nine-Nine episode to fall asleep to, maybe skip "Moo Moo."

Unless you're really in the mood for a serious, thought-provoking episode. Then, by all means, go for it!
But if you're like me, and you just want to laugh at Gina Linetti's bizarre pronouncements, there are plenty of other episodes to choose from. You can find it there.
What do you think? Am I completely off base? Let me know! But be gentle. Remember, this is just one person's opinion after a late night and too much coffee.
And hey, no matter what episode you choose, at least you're watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine. That's a win in my book!
