Brooklyn 99 Season 7 Episode 1 Full Episode

Alright, let's talk Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 7, Episode 1. You know, "Manhunter." I've got some thoughts. And maybe, just maybe, they're a little controversial.
The Hype Was Real (Kind Of)
Everyone was SO excited for the new season. The cliffhanger with Jake and Amy planning a family had us all hooked. Did the premiere live up to the hype? Mostly, yeah.
It was good old B99 chaos. But... something felt a little off, didn't it? Just a smidge.
Must Read
The Cold Open: Still Gold
Let's be real. The cold opens are almost always the best part. This one? Solid. Holt and his weird connection to Florida? Chef's kiss.
That awkward dance was peak Captain Holt. I rewatched it like, five times. I’m not ashamed.
Seriously, how does Andre Braugher do it? Pure comedic genius.
The Manhunt Itself... Meh?
Okay, the main plot. A city-wide blackout. A potential serial arsonist. Sounds intense, right?

But did it really grab me? Honestly, not as much as other episodes. It felt a bit... generic?
I know, I know, sacrilege! But hear me out.
Jake's "Genius" Plan
Jake Peralta thinking he's the smartest guy in the room? Classic. Him devising a ridiculously convoluted plan? Also classic.
However, the plan itself felt a little... forced. Like they were trying too hard to be quirky.

I appreciate the effort, Jake. But sometimes, simpler is better.
The Amy & Jake Baby Plot... Underwhelming?
Okay, this is where the unpopular opinion REALLY comes in. Amy and Jake wanting a baby? Great! But the execution in this episode?
It felt secondary. Like an afterthought tucked into the main plot.
I wanted more! More emotional moments, more baby-related antics. Instead, we got... a brief discussion during a blackout.

Holt & Terry: Always a Win
Holt and Terry teaming up is always a recipe for success. Their dynamic is just amazing.
Terry's constant worrying and Holt's deadpan reactions? Comedy gold!
They carried this episode, in my humble opinion.
Overall... Good, Not Great.
Look, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is almost always funny. And this episode definitely had its moments.

But compared to some of the show's absolute bangers? It fell a little short.
Maybe my expectations were too high. Or maybe, just maybe, this wasn't the strongest premiere.
"Nine-Nine!"... but maybe not a perfect ten this time.
Still, I'm a loyal fan. I'll be tuning in next week. And I'm hoping for more Holt dance numbers. A girl can dream, right?
What do you think? Am I totally off base? Let me know!
