Boku No Hero Academia Season 2 Episode 4

Okay, let's talk My Hero Academia. Specifically, Season 2, Episode 4. "That's the Idea, Ochaco!" It's a fun one, right?
But, and this is a big BUT, hear me out. Is it just me, or is this episode... a little overrated?
The Sports Festival Hype Train
The Sports Festival is in full swing! Everyone's hyped. We see our heroes pushing their limits. Classic Boku no Hero Academia goodness!
Must Read
And Uraraka? She's adorable. Her determination is infectious. Seriously, who doesn't root for her?
The Bakugo Problem (Maybe?)
Okay, unpopular opinion time. Buckle up. Bakugo's fight with Uraraka? It's... intense.
Some people love it. They see his seriousness. They see his acknowledging her strength. I get it.
But does anyone else find it a bit... much? Like, dial it down a notch, dude! She's trying her best!

Maybe he's just being Bakugo. Explosions and all. But still...
Uraraka's Heartbreak
Then comes the crushing defeat. Uraraka loses. It's heartbreaking to watch. My soul weeps.
Her dad cheering her on? Cue the waterworks. It's a genuinely emotional scene. No argument there.
But...is it the most emotionally impactful scene in the entire series? Some people say it is. I'm not entirely convinced.

A Few Things I Loved (Because I'm Not a Monster)
Let's be clear. I did enjoy this episode. I'm not trying to be a hater. Promise!
The animation? Superb. The music? Epic as always. The overall energy? Electric!
Seeing Midoriya analyzing the fights? Gold. He's such a little nerd. I love it!
The Other Fights
We also get glimpses of other fights! We see Iida. We see Todoroki. Everyone's showing off their quirks!
These smaller moments? They're fantastic. They build the world. They show us everyone's potential.

So much talent in Class 1-A. It's mind-blowing.
The Verdict?
So, is Season 2 Episode 4 a bad episode? Absolutely not! It's My Hero Academia at its finest.
Is it the absolute best, most perfect, emotionally shattering episode ever? That's where I hesitate.
Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm missing something. But I think it's a little overhyped.

Don't get me wrong, Uraraka is amazing. She is best girl. I'll fight you on it.
But the whole episode? I'd give it a solid 8/10. Good, not legendary.
"That's the idea, Ochaco!" But maybe not the best idea for an episode to be considered a top tier masterpiece.
Anyone else feel the same? Or am I alone in this unpopular opinion? Let me know!
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch it. Just to be sure I'm not crazy.
Maybe I'll change my mind. Maybe I won't. Only time will tell.
