Bob's Burgers Stuck In The Kitchen With You

Okay, let's talk Bob's Burgers. Specifically, "Stuck in the Kitchen With You." It's the Thanksgiving episode where Bob injures himself. Then Teddy moves in to "help."
Now, everyone loves Teddy, right? He's Bob's best (and maybe only) friend. He's the super-clingy, well-meaning, sometimes-obnoxious regular. But, and this is a big but...
Teddy: Hero or Annoyance?
I'm gonna say it: Teddy in this episode is almost unbearable. There, I said it! Come at me, Teddy fans.
Must Read
His "help" involves making things infinitely worse. He tries so hard, but it backfires spectacularly. I get that's the joke. Still...
He accidentally glues himself to the toilet! He tries to clean, but just makes a bigger mess. The Thanksgiving feast? Forget about it! Disaster.
Is it the Thanksgiving pressure?
Thanksgiving is stressful enough already. Imagine having Teddy as your sous-chef. Your blood pressure would skyrocket.

Maybe it's the holiday that amplifies everything. The pressure, the family drama, the… Teddy.
Louise even seems extra annoyed. And she usually finds humor in everything. So, that says something, right?
The Belchers: A Family Affair
The episode is still funny, don't get me wrong. The Belcher family dynamic is always gold. Linda's relentless optimism. Classic!

The kids' antics offer much needed breathers. The search for the perfect cranberry sauce? Hilarious and so relatable.
And Bob, poor Bob! He's injured and trapped. He is forced to endure Teddy's well-intentioned chaos. I kind of feel bad for him.
Louise's Cranberry Quest
Let's give credit where credit is due. Louise, Gene, and Tina's cranberry mission is a highlight. Their dedication to finding the perfect can is amazing.
The whole subplot is a brilliant distraction. It saves the episode from being completely consumed by Teddy's antics.

Plus, it shows their love for Bob. They really want to make Thanksgiving special for him. Even if they do go about it in a bizarre way.
Unpopular Opinion Time
Okay, here's my truly unpopular opinion. I think this episode relies too heavily on Teddy's character flaws. It becomes a bit grating.
Sometimes, a little Teddy goes a long way. In this episode, it's a Teddy overload. To the point it detracts from the heartwarming aspects.

Perhaps a little more focus on the family would have balanced things out. A dash more heart. A pinch less Teddy.
Still a Classic?
Despite my issues, it's still a solid episode. It's Bob's Burgers, after all! Funny, quirky, and heartwarming at its core.
But, personally, it's not my favorite Thanksgiving episode. I'd re-watch "An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal" or "Turkey in a Can" first.
Maybe I'm just a Thanksgiving purist. Or maybe I just need a Teddy break. What do you think? Am I alone in this?
