Blaze And The Monster Machines Truckball Team Up
Truckball: Is it really a team sport?
Okay, hear me out. Blaze and the Monster Machines is awesome. My kid loves it. I secretly love it too. But Truckball?
It's... chaotic. And I'm starting to think maybe, just maybe, it's not the ultimate display of teamwork everyone claims it is.
The "Team" Aspect: A Closer Look
Let's be honest. How much actual teamwork is there in Truckball? Sure, they pass the ball sometimes. But mostly it's just Blaze doing all the heavy lifting.
Must Read
And by heavy lifting, I mean literal heavy lifting. Like, jumping over volcanoes and outsmarting Crusher kind of heavy lifting.
The other team members? Well, they're...there. They provide moral support, I guess?
Is it just... Blazeball?
I know, I know, unpopular opinion alert! Everyone always talks about the amazing teamwork demonstrated in Truckball. But is it really teamwork if one monster machine is doing 90% of the work?

It feels more like Blaze and the supporting cast. Like a rockstar and his band. The band is cool, but everyone's there to see the rockstar.
Maybe it should be renamed Blazeball? Just a thought.
Crusher: The Perpetual Underdog (or Under-Truck?)
Let's give Crusher some credit. He tries. He really does. He's just… not very good.

And yes, he cheats. But honestly, can you blame him? He's got to do something to keep up with Blaze's superhuman (super-truck?) abilities.
Maybe if he had a better teammate, he wouldn't feel the need to constantly deploy his ridiculous contraptions.
"I think Crusher's just misunderstood." - Me, probably the only person who thinks this.
The Real Lesson: Never Give Up (Even if You're Bad at Truckball)
Okay, maybe I'm being a little harsh. There's definitely a valuable lesson in Truckball. It teaches kids to never give up, even when things get tough. And that's important!
Plus, it's fun to watch. Who doesn't love seeing monster trucks do crazy stunts?

And even though Blaze might be the star player, the other team members (and even Crusher) contribute in their own unique ways. Even if that contribution is mostly comedic relief.
So, Teamwork or Not? The Verdict.
So, is Truckball a true display of teamwork? Ehhh... maybe not in the strictest sense. But it's entertaining, it's educational, and it gets kids excited about STEM concepts.
And that's good enough for me. Besides, even if Blaze is carrying the team, he's still a pretty awesome role model.

But seriously, maybe they could give the other monster machines a little more to do. Just a thought.
Ultimately, I guess, teamwork is subjective. Maybe my expectations are just too high. Or maybe I'm just secretly jealous of Blaze's monster truck skills.
Either way, I'll keep watching. And secretly hoping Crusher wins. Just once.
Because let's be real, that would be an amazing episode.
