Banished From The Hero's Party Demon Lord

Okay, let's be honest. Has anyone else ever thought the Demon Lord wasn't really the bad guy in some of these stories?
I mean, hear me out. We’ve all seen it a million times. A chosen hero and his merry band set out to defeat the ultimate evil. But, like, is it really evil?
The Unsung Hero of Chaos?
Maybe the Demon Lord just wanted a quiet life. Perhaps they preferred gardening over global domination.
Must Read
They probably just wanted to be left alone to tend to their prize-winning petunias. Is that really so much to ask?
Dealing with Annoying Neighbors
Think about it. Imagine you’re chilling in your castle, minding your own business. Suddenly, a bunch of adventurers start barging in.
They’re smashing your furniture and stealing your artifacts. Would you be happy?

I bet even Jesus would retaliate if you start trashing his house. So, is the Demon Lord REALLY the villain for defending their property?
Seriously, they probably just wanted to implement some good land reforms.
Banished From the Hero's Party? More Like Lucky Escape!
And speaking of heroes... let's talk about the “banished” party member. Oh, the tragedy! The betrayal!
But honestly, sometimes I think they’re dodging a bullet. Have you seen some of those hero parties?

One’s a complete idiot, another’s obsessed with money, and the third one probably smells funny. You are better off without them.
Being banished probably saved their sanity. They get to avoid all that unnecessary drama and backstabbing.
"Healing Potions" and Other Suspect Activities
Let’s not forget the questionable ethics of some heroes. They loot dungeons! They extort villagers!

And what’s really in those "healing potions" they're always chugging? I have a conspiracy.
I bet those potions are made by unpaid intern forced to work 200 hours straight. And they steal the recipe of Demon Lord from ancient cave
Suddenly, the Demon Lord's army of goblins doesn't seem so bad. At least they're probably getting regular snack breaks.
The Demon Lord's PR Problem
Ultimately, I think the Demon Lord just has a terrible PR team. They need to hire someone who can spin their story.

Maybe a catchy slogan like "Making the Underworld Great Again!" Or "Goblin Lives Matter!"
Then, maybe the heroes won't seem so righteous after all. After all, the history is written by the victors, right?
So, next time you see a story about a Demon Lord, consider their side. Maybe they're just misunderstood. Maybe they just wanted a quiet retirement. Or maybe, just maybe, they were right all along.
Just a thought. And if you disagree, well, that's okay too. Unless you're a hero. Then we have a problem.
