Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 Mal

Okay, let's talk Attack on Titan. Specifically, Season 4 Part 2. And more specifically, its MyAnimeList (MAL) rating.
Hear me out. I know, I know. It’s a masterpiece. A cultural reset, even. But... is it really?
The Hype Train is Real
Don't get me wrong. Season 4 Part 2 was a wild ride. Explosions, betrayals, existential dread. All the good stuff.
Must Read
But sometimes, I think the hype blinded us a bit. Did we really analyze every plot point? Or were we just screaming into the void with everyone else?
Eren's... Choices?
Let's be honest. Eren's motivation got a little... muddy. Was he saving his friends? Destroying the world? Ordering pizza?
It became less "complex anti-hero" and more "confusing teenager with immense power." Just my opinion!
And the whole "I don't know why I'm doing this" thing? Come on, man! Give us something!

The Power of Expectations
Maybe MAL scores are just a popularity contest. The more people love something, the higher it goes. Regardless of actual flaws.
And Attack on Titan had years of built-up love. Season 4 was destined for greatness before it even aired.
We expected perfection. Did we get it? I'm not so sure.
The "Ending" Conversation
Okay, I'm not going to spoil anything. But the ending… sparked debate. Intense debate.

Some people loved it. Others felt betrayed. It's the Game of Thrones effect all over again!
And that division? It has to affect the overall perception of the season. Right?
The Visual Spectacle vs. The Story
Visually? Stunning. The animation was top-tier. The action sequences were epic.
But a pretty picture doesn't automatically equal a perfect story. You need substance, too.
And sometimes, the spectacle overshadowed the narrative. Lots of noise, less clarity.

Am I the Only One?
I’m not saying Season 4 Part 2 was bad. Far from it. It was entertaining, engaging, and definitely got me talking.
But a perfect score? The highest score? I'm just not convinced.
Maybe I’m just a grumpy internet user yelling at clouds. But I think a little critical analysis is healthy.
So, what do you think? Am I completely off my rocker? Let me know (but be nice!).

And remember, it's just an opinion. Let's not start a Titan-sized war over this.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to rewatch Season 1 and pretend everything was simple again.
Maybe MyAnimeList is simply correct and I just have bad taste.
Who knows? Either way, thank you, Isayama, for the adventure.
