Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 77

Okay, Let's Talk About THAT Attack on Titan Episode
Season 4 Part 2 Episode 77, right? "Sunset." Remember that one?
We saw Eren and Zeke finally touching. It was supposed to be earth-shattering. But did it truly blow everyone's minds?
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Here's the thing. I think it was... good. Just good. Not, like, "rewrite anime history" good.
Must Read
Don't get me wrong, the visuals were stunning! The animation team deserved a raise after that.
But plot-wise? I think we were all expecting something a little more impactful after that long build up.
Zeke's Backstory: Yay or Nay?
We dove deep into Zeke's past. Daddy issues galore! Poor kid, right?
But honestly, did anyone really care that much about Zeke's childhood at that point?

We had world-ending stakes happening! Eren's about to rumble everyone! I was a bit impatient to get back to the present.
Eren's Transformation: A Bit Anti-Climatic?
Okay, so Eren's transformation sequence was cool and all. But remember the hype?
We'd been waiting forever for the Rumbling to start. And it just kind of... happened. Slowly.
A bunch of giant Titans walking. I think I'd seen that before in previous seasons. Just me?
Pieck's Gambit: Now THAT Was a Moment!
Speaking of moments... Can we talk about Pieck? Now that was exciting!

Her attempt to blow up Eren's nape was amazing. She’s a legend.
Finally, some actual suspense amidst all the philosophical pondering and backstory flashbacks!
The Flashbacks: Friend or Foe?
Look, I appreciate character development. I really do.
But sometimes Attack on Titan gets lost in its own world-building. We get bogged down in flashbacks when we just want action!
It's like, "Okay, I get it, everyone's traumatized! Now can we get back to the Titan smashing, please?"

The Pacing: Slow Burn...or Just Slow?
Maybe it's just me, but the pacing felt a little off in this episode.
We spent so much time reflecting. Don't get me wrong, it’s important to the story. But sometimes I just wanted them to move faster.
I was left wanting more!
The Ending: A Cliffhanger, Obviously
And then, of course, the episode ends on a cliffhanger. Because of course it does.
Leaving us waiting another week to find out what happens next. The torture!

So, yeah, "Sunset." A good episode of Attack on Titan, but maybe not the masterpiece everyone was hyping it up to be. Let the arguments begin!
But hey, I still love Attack on Titan!
Even if some episodes aren't perfect, the overall story is incredible.
So bring on the Rumbling! Let’s see how this all ends.
I'm ready to have my heart broken all over again.
