Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 28

Okay, Let's Talk About That Episode of Attack on Titan
You know the one. Season 4 Part 2 Episode 28. The one where everyone lost their minds. Well, maybe not everyone. I have a slightly controversial opinion.
And I’m ready to spill the tea. Prepare yourselves. It might ruffle some feathers.
The Rumbling Rumble
Giant titans stomping on everything? Visually stunning, for sure. Pure, unadulterated destruction. I can appreciate the animation. But did it really pack the emotional punch it should have?
Must Read
Hear me out. We know the Rumbling is bad. We've been told it's bad. We've seen glimpses of it being bad. But... it felt a bit repetitive, didn’t it? Like, "Yeah, yeah, titans are destroying stuff. We get it."
And honestly, was anyone really surprised? Eren announced his grand plan. Everyone knew it was coming. Maybe I’m just jaded.

Where's the Spark?
Okay, the emotional scenes were… fine. But something felt off. It felt a bit staged.
Armin looking distraught? Check. Mikasa looking conflicted? Check. Characters screaming about the futility of war? Big check. But it lacked that special something. You know, that oomph that makes you ugly cry into your popcorn.
I wanted to feel the weight of the world crashing down! Instead, I felt like I was watching a really long trailer for an upcoming, even more devastating episode.

The "Big" Character Moments
Let’s talk about the characters. Specifically, their decision-making skills. Were they a little… off?
Some actions felt forced. Like the writers needed them to do something dramatic, even if it didn't quite fit their established personalities. I love my characters, don't get me wrong! Levi can never be wrong! But sometimes, it felt a bit much.
I mean, the internal monologues were there.
"What are we fighting for?"Blah blah blah. But where's the subtle character development? Where's the organic growth?

Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Here it comes. Brace yourselves. I didn't think it was that amazing of an episode. Gasp! I said it!
Don’t get me wrong, it wasn't bad. It was just...overhyped? It felt like everyone was expecting the second coming of Christ in anime form. The expectations were so high, anything less than perfection was going to feel like a letdown.
Maybe it's because I've seen too much anime. Maybe I’m just a cynical old grump. But something about this particular episode just didn't quite click with me.

Still Hooked, Though
Despite my gripes, I'm still glued to my screen. I'm still invested in the story. I want to know how it all ends! Will Eren succeed in his bonkers plan? Will humanity survive? These are the questions that keep me up at night.
I’m ready for more devastation. More emotional turmoil. More giant titans stomping on things. But I also hope the next episodes will have a bit more... spark. Give me something truly memorable!
What are your thoughts? Am I completely off base? Or do you secretly agree with my slightly blasphemous opinion? Let me know!
