Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 12

Okay, Let's Talk About That Attack on Titan Episode
Remember Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 12? Yeah, the one that dropped a nuke of feelings? Buckle up, buttercups, because I'm about to share some potentially controversial thoughts.
First off, can we all agree that everyone's just...tired? Like, emotionally and existentially tired. I think I aged about ten years during that one episode.
The Rumbling: More Like The Grumbling (Inside My Head)
The Rumbling is happening. Eren is unstoppable. The world is ending. We get it! Can we maybe pause for a tea break?
Must Read
I get that it's supposed to be this terrifying, apocalyptic event, but honestly, it just makes me want to nap. Maybe it’s the animation style? Maybe it is the sheer scale. It is overwhelming!
And honestly, does anyone REALLY understand Eren's master plan at this point? It feels like he's just winging it. Like he woke up one morning and was like, "Yup, today's the day I destroy the world."

Gabi: Still Aiming True (and Annoying)
Okay, unpopular opinion incoming: I’m… kinda starting to get Gabi. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted to yeet her into the ocean for, like, three seasons straight.
But seeing her grapple with the consequences of her actions? Watching her slowly realize that the world isn't as black and white as she thought? It’s... something. Plus, her aim is still impeccable. Girl’s got skills!
Reiner: The King of Trauma
Poor Reiner. Seriously, is there anyone more emotionally scarred in the entire anime universe? I’m pretty sure he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders, and he’s probably got a chiropractor on speed dial.

Every time he shows up, I just want to give him a hug and tell him it's going to be okay. Even though it definitely isn’t. Maybe a therapy session with Dr. Phil?
The Dialogue: Deep Thoughts or Just Word Salad?
Some of the dialogue in this episode felt like it was trying a little too hard. Existentialism is cool and all, but sometimes I just want someone to say, "Let's go kick some Titan butt!"

Are they speaking some deep, philosophical truth? Or are they just saying big words to sound smart? The world may never know.
I spent half the episode googling philosophical terms. Like I didn’t have enough to worry about.
Overall: Still Hooked, Still Confused
Despite my gripes, I'm still completely obsessed with Attack on Titan. It's like a train wreck you can't look away from. And a train wreck where the titans are eating your family. Fun times!

Season 4 Part 2 Episode 12 left me with more questions than answers, a profound sense of dread, and a desperate craving for pizza. Basically, a typical Tuesday night.
So, what did you think? Was I too harsh? Too lenient? Let me know in the comments (but please be nice, my emotional state is already fragile enough)! Because let’s be honest, we are all just trying to survive in this cruel, cruel anime world.
"TATAKAE!" – Probably Eren, Probably All of Us.
