Attack On Titan Season 4 Cast English

Okay, let's talk Attack on Titan Season 4! Specifically, the English dub voices. Some choices were... interesting. I'm just saying, not throwing shade (maybe a tiny bit).
The Familiar Faces (and Voices!)
First, the OGs. Bryce Papenbrook as Eren? Still iconic. He brings that angst and screaming energy we all know and love.
And Josh Grelle as Armin? Perfect. That sweet, slightly nerdy, but surprisingly brave voice? Nailed it.
Must Read
Trina Nishimura as Mikasa? Yep, she still sounds like she's ready to slice anyone who even looks at Eren funny. Good job!
The Marley Crew: A Mixed Bag
Here's where things get a little spicy. The Marley side had some... different choices. Some worked great, some... well...

Reiner Braun: Our Favorite Conflicted Titan
Robert McCollum voices Reiner. He does a solid job portraying Reiner's internal struggles. But sometimes, I miss his earlier, slightly more goofy tone.
Pieck Finger: The Cart Titan Cutie
Amber Lee Connors brings Pieck to life. The voice suits the character's intelligence and slightly sarcastic personality perfectly. No complaints here!
Porco Galliard: The Jaw Titan's Grumpy Voice
Okay, Kellen Goff as Porco is... a choice. He definitely sounds angry, which is accurate. But sometimes, it feels like he's just shouting into a microphone.

Falco Grice: The Innocent One
Mikey Mcfarlane voices Falco. He is the best choice for Falco. Mikey perfectly captures Falco's youth and naivete.
My "Unpopular" Opinions (Brace Yourselves!)
Now, for the real tea. Some of these voices just didn't click for me. And that's okay! Taste is subjective.
Maybe I'm too used to the Japanese voices. Maybe I'm just picky. Either way, here are my hot takes.

I always thought Zeke sounded better in Japanese. I cannot explain, I just love the voice acting in japanese better.
"This isn't shade at the voice actors themselves! They're all talented. It's just a matter of personal preference."
Sometimes, I wonder if the direction given to the English dub actors was different. Some performances felt a bit... forced? A bit over-the-top?

Ultimately, the Attack on Titan English dub is perfectly fine. It gets the job done. But sometimes, I just wish some of the voices had a bit more nuance.
What do you think? Am I totally off base? Or do you agree with my "unpopular" opinions? Let me know!
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch some Attack on Titan. Maybe in Japanese this time...
