Attack On Titan Final Season Number Of Episodes

Okay, let's talk about Attack on Titan's final season. Or, should I say, seasons? It's been quite the rollercoaster, hasn't it?
The "Final" Season... Kinda
Remember when they announced "The Final Season"? I do! I was ready for closure. I imagined a beautiful, heart-wrenching ending. I prepared my tissues.
Then it ended... but not really. It was more like a cliffhanger that launched us into...another season? Wait, what?
Must Read
This is where things get a little... convoluted. We got "The Final Season Part 1". Followed by "The Final Season Part 2."
Seriously, How Many Episodes?
Let's break it down. "The Final Season Part 1" gave us 16 episodes. Solid number. Respectable. Then "Part 2" added 12 more.
So far, so good (ish). But wait, there's more! Because next came "The Final Season Part 3". Except, "Part 3" was actually two parts.

Confused yet? I was! Each part of "Part 3" was essentially a movie-length special. It felt a little like they were stretching the ending.
My Unpopular Opinion
Here's where I might lose some of you. I think the final season was... too long. Yes, I said it! Don't hate me.
I get it. There's a lot of story to tell. Isayama created a masterpiece, no doubt. But did we really need that many episodes?
Some of the pacing felt slow. I found myself wanting the plot to move forward. Was I the only one?

Could It Have Been Shorter?
I believe they could have condensed the story. Maybe trimmed some of the fat. Perhaps fewer lengthy dialogue scenes.
Imagine a tighter, more focused final season. Less "padding," more punch. Think of the emotional impact!
Don't get me wrong, the animation was stunning. The music was epic. The voice acting? Top-notch. But the length...

The "Padding" Problem
I'm not saying everything was bad. Far from it! I just felt some scenes lingered too long. They repeated certain themes.
It was like the anime was afraid to let go. It wanted to savor every last moment. Which, as a fan, I appreciated...to a point.
But at some point, I started feeling like I was watching the same thing over and over again. It was like eating a really good meal that just keeps going and going. Eventually, you're just stuffed.
Was it Worth It?
Ultimately, the ending landed well. The emotional beats hit hard. The conclusions for the characters... satisfying (mostly).

But I still can't shake the feeling that it could have been leaner. More impactful. Less... convoluted.
So, yeah, unpopular opinion: Attack on Titan's final season had too many episodes. Fight me (but please be gentle).
"TATAKAE!" - Eren Yeager (probably about the episode count)
Maybe I'm just impatient. Maybe I wanted the pain to end sooner. Or maybe, just maybe, less is sometimes more. What do you think?
