Attack On Titan Episode 78 Release Date

Okay, let's talk about Attack on Titan. Specifically, that agonizing wait for new episodes. Remember Episode 78? Good times... or were they?
The Great Episode 78 Wait: A Collective Trauma
It felt like an eternity, didn't it? Seriously, I think I aged like, five years during that hiatus. Maybe more. Did anyone else start questioning the very fabric of reality?
We were all refreshing Crunchyroll every five minutes. Twitter became a minefield of spoilers (thanks, guys!). The anticipation was... well, let's just say my sanity took a little vacation.
Must Read
Was Episode 78 Really Worth the Hype? (An Unpopular Opinion)
Now, here's where things might get a little spicy. Are you ready for my extremely controversial, possibly blasphemous opinion? I'm not entirely convinced Episode 78 was everything we built it up to be.
Don't get me wrong! It was good. Very good, even! But did it completely blow my mind into a million tiny, Titan-sized pieces? Not quite. Maybe my expectations were just too high.
I mean, the animation was gorgeous. The voice acting? Top-notch, as always. And the plot twists? Oh boy, the plot twists! Still, a tiny part of me felt... slightly underwhelmed.

"Was the delay worth it?" - Everyone (probably)
Perhaps the waiting made it worse. We spent so long theorizing and hyping ourselves up. Maybe no episode could have lived up to that level of expectation.
Let's Be Honest: We're All Gluttons for Punishment
Despite my mild disappointment (and the risk of being ostracized by the Attack on Titan community), I'd do it all again. Every agonizing day of waiting. Every spoiler-dodging maneuver.
Because that's the power of Attack on Titan! It hooks you in and refuses to let go. You become invested in these characters, their struggles, and their utterly bonkers world.

We complain about the delays, but deep down, we know it's worth it. The series is just that good. Plus, what else are we supposed to do with our free time? Actually be productive?
The Real Villain: The Hiatus
Let's face it: the real enemy isn't the Titans, or Eren, or even Marley. It's the hiatus! Those dreaded periods between seasons (and sometimes episodes) that leave us craving more.
Seriously, is there a support group for people suffering from AoT withdrawal? I think I need to start one. We can share fan theories and cry together over leaked animation frames.

Maybe we can even start a petition to demand shorter hiatuses. Or, you know, teleport directly into the MAPPA studio and force them to animate faster. (Just kidding... mostly.)
So, Where Does That Leave Us?
Even if Episode 78 wasn't the earth-shattering experience I'd envisioned, it was still a damn good episode. And it reminded me why I love this series so much.
The characters, the story, the animation... it all comes together to create something truly special. Something that's worth waiting for, even if it feels like torture.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch the entire series from the beginning. Maybe this time, I'll finally understand what's going on. (Probably not.)
And I'll be mentally preparing myself for the next inevitable hiatus. Wish me luck!
Remember, Attack on Titan is more than just an anime. It's a lifestyle. A painful, beautiful, slightly confusing lifestyle. But hey, at least we're all in it together.
