Apps On My Phone That I Didn T Download

My phone. A shimmering portal to everything. Except, sometimes it feels like a cluttered attic. An attic where someone else decided what to store.
Let's talk about those apps. The ones I swear I never invited.
The Unwanted Guests
First up, we have the "Productivity Suite." It’s a whole gang, actually.
Must Read
There’s the notes app I never use. I prefer pen and paper, old school. Then, there's the calendar, mocking me with its empty days. Or judging me for my overbooked weeks.
And let's not forget the document editor. Gathering digital dust. Seriously, who uses a document editor on their phone?! (Besides, you know, actual productive people.)
The Bloatware Brigade
These guys are sneaky. They’re often disguised as “helpful” utilities.

There's the random game demo. I think I accidentally opened it once, years ago. It still haunts my app drawer.
Then there's the social media app I already have. But this one is the "lite" version. Why? I have no idea.
Is my phone not heavy enough already?
Don't even get me started on the "device care" app. It promises to optimize my phone. It mostly just delivers nagging notifications. Stop judging my battery usage!
The Carrier Conundrum
Ah, yes, the apps courtesy of my cellular provider. Bless their hearts.

One lets me pay my bill. Which, okay, is somewhat useful. But another is a store locator. I'm pretty sure I can find a store without an app.
There's also a news app that is somehow exclusively about my carrier's latest deals. Groundbreaking journalism, truly. Bravo, Carrier X!
My (Unpopular) Opinion
I get it. Some of these apps are pre-installed for convenience.

Manufacturers get deals. Carriers have their services. But do I benefit?
I'm starting to think my phone has more apps I didn't download than apps I actually use. It's like a digital roommate who never cleans up.
Here's a radical thought: let us choose! Let us curate our own digital lives.
Give us the power to decide what lives on our precious home screen. Maybe even uninstall the unwanted guests completely.

I'm not saying all pre-installed apps are evil. But I am saying my phone is getting a little crowded. And some of these apps are definitely overstaying their welcome.
So, to all the apps I didn't download: It's not me, it's you. Well, actually, it is me. I just don't want you here.
Maybe one day, we'll have phones that are truly ours. Until then, I guess I'll keep swiping past you. Resentfully.
And occasionally deleting your cache. Because, you know, passive-aggressive resistance.
