Anti-magic Academy The 35th Test Platoon Season 2

Okay, let's talk about something. Something a little...controversial. Something that involves magic, swords, and questionable training methods.
Where's the Beef (and Season 2)?
We're talking about Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon. You know, that anime with the lovable losers and the ridiculously overpowered witch.
It had its moments, right? But where in the world is season two? It feels like we've been waiting for an eternity.
Must Read
My Unpopular Opinion (Brace Yourselves!)
Here's the thing. And I'm probably going to get some side-eye for this. I'm not entirely sure a second season is necessary.
Gasp! I know! Treason, right? Hear me out though.
The first season was... fine. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't winning any awards either. It felt a bit like a generic light novel adaptation. And it had a slightly rushed and anticlimactic ending.

Let's be real: Takeru Kusanagi wasn't exactly the most compelling protagonist. He had that whole "I used to be great" thing going on, but it never quite landed with the punch needed.
And Ouka Ohtori? Sure, she's powerful and has a dark past. But sometimes the "emotionless powerful girl" trope can feel a little… overdone. I just wanted a better story.
The Good Stuff (There Was Some!)
Don't get me wrong! There were definitely things to like! I enjoyed some of the supporting characters. They brought some much-needed comic relief.

And the action scenes? When they were good, they were really good! That animation budget had to go somewhere! It was thrilling.
The concept of an academy training students to fight magic users? Awesome! The execution? Could've been better, if I'm honest.
So, Season 2 or No Season 2?
Look, if they announce a second season tomorrow, I'll probably watch it. Curiosity will get the better of me. I am a sucker for a good underdog story.

But a part of me thinks the story might be better left as it is. Some things are better in our memories.
Maybe it's time to move on to other anime. There's a whole world of magical academies, sword-wielding heroes, and overpowered witches waiting to be discovered! I mean, we have stuff like Assassins Pride to compare with.
The Real Question:
Instead of a season two, perhaps a reboot would be better? A chance to fix the pacing, deepen the characters, and deliver on the promise of that awesome premise?

Or maybe a completely original series inspired by the same concepts? That could be pretty cool!
Ultimately, it's all just speculation. But hey, isn't that half the fun? What do you think? Am I totally off base? Should Anti-Magic Academy get another shot?
Let me know your thoughts! I'm ready for the debate.
Just promise me you won't send a magically enhanced assassin after me.
Because, you know, I'm not exactly trained to fight them.
