America's Next Top Model Season 4 Episode 7

ANTM Cycle 4: The One Where They Go To Cape Town (And I Have Feelings)
Okay, folks, let's dive into the wonderful weirdness that is America's Next Top Model, Cycle 4, Episode 7. Cape Town! Finally, some stunning scenery. But was the drama stunning too? Mmm, debatable.
First, let's talk about the "beauty shot" challenge. They were draped in, like, ten pounds of diamonds and had to...smize? Surprise! That's basically every challenge, right?
The Diamond Smize-Off
I gotta say, Keenyah totally bombed. I mean, she looked gorgeous, but it was less "high fashion" and more "I just won the lottery." No hate, just saying.

Then there was Naima. Quiet as a mouse most of the time, but BAM! She brought it. That girl knows how to work a camera. I will admit though, I had no idea who she was up until this challenge.
Brittany was amazing in her shoot. Brittany is constantly called "commercial" but she slays all of her shoots. I believe this challenge proves she is an exceptional model.

Animal Planet…But Make It Fashion?
The photo shoot this week involved wild animals. Because nothing says "high fashion" like posing with a cheetah, right?
They were all dressed in gorgeous dresses. So gorgeous, I want them for myself. The pictures though? Some were great, some were...yikes.

Michelle's photo made me laugh. She looks genuinely terrified. I mean, I would be too, but still, not exactly giving fierce supermodel vibes.
And poor Rebecca. This was NOT her week. She was a gorgeous girl but struggled to bring out the model. It makes me sad she had to leave.
Unpopular Opinion Time
Okay, brace yourselves. My hot take: Keenyah was getting way too much hate. Like, yes, she wasn't always consistent, but she was gorgeous and had potential! Let’s be honest, though, she ate too much and that’s all everyone talked about.

I also think Tyra was a little too hard on her. I will say that Tyra does have a hard time picking favorites.
Honestly, a lot of the girls were struggling with their weight. Let's remember this was a long time ago and a lot of what they were saying would not be tolerated in today's world.

The Verdict
Overall, this episode was a mixed bag. Beautiful location, some questionable photos, and enough drama to keep you entertained. But hey, that’s ANTM for ya!
And I still think Naima was a dark horse this season. She had the IT factor and was gorgeous. I believe that she grew the most on the show.
What do you think? Am I totally off base? Let me know your thoughts!
