American Horror Story Double Feature Part 2 Release Date

Okay, Let's Talk About American Horror Story: Double Feature Part 2...Because We Need To.
Remember Death Valley? You know, the alien one? Yeah, that's Part 2 of Double Feature. Let's be real: it happened.
Trying to recall the release date? You're not alone. It premiered in August 2021, right after Red Tide. But honestly, who's counting?
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Here it comes, brace yourselves. Death Valley wasn't awful. Okay, maybe it was a bit…out there. But that's AHS for ya!
Must Read
Aliens, Eisenhower, a weird baby situation? What's not to love (or hate)? It was certainly...memorable.
Some say Red Tide was the superior half of Double Feature. I hear you! But let's give Death Valley some credit for sheer audacity.
So, What Was Death Valley Even About Again?
Essentially, it mashed together two timelines. One was black and white, featuring President Eisenhower and some grey fellas. Very 50s sci-fi.

The other was present day, with some college students getting abducted. Typical Tuesday, right? Naturally, things got weird...quickly.
There were secret underground bases, alien pregnancies, and a whole lot of government conspiracy. It was a lot to unpack, to say the least.
But Did it Work?
That's the million-dollar question. Critically? Not so much. But did it provide some truly bonkers moments? Absolutely!

The acting was...well, it was there. Everyone tried their best with the material they were given. Let's give them props for that.
Honestly, sometimes I think Ryan Murphy just throws ideas at a wall to see what sticks. And Death Valley felt like one of those experimental moments.
Why We Still Talk About It (Sort Of)
Even if Death Valley wasn't a masterpiece, it's still part of the AHS universe. We can't just pretend it didn't happen. Though some might like to.

It sparked conversations. Did it deserve its hate? Was it secretly genius? The debates raged (and maybe still do, somewhere on Reddit).
And hey, it gave us some meme-able moments. Remember the...alien baby? Yeah, good times (or not-so-good, depending on your perspective).
Final Thoughts (and a Plea)
Look, I'm not saying Death Valley is the best AHS season. Far from it. But I'm also not saying it's the worst.

It dared to be different. It went full-on sci-fi, which was a bold move. Maybe a too-bold move, but still, bold!
So, let's give Death Valley a little love (or at least a little tolerance). And let's hope the next Double Feature experiment is...a bit more grounded. Or maybe even crazier. Who knows with AHS?
One thing's for sure: we'll be watching. And probably complaining (or secretly enjoying it). That's just what we do.
