American Horror Story Double Feature Part 2 Cast

Okay, let's talk American Horror Story: Death Valley. Part two of Double Feature. Specifically, the people who graced (or cursed?) our screens.
The Familiar Faces (and My Hot Takes)
Of course, we had the queen herself, Sarah Paulson. She played Mamie Eisenhower.
Paulson always delivers. But honestly, I think she could play a potted plant and still get an Emmy nom.
Must Read
Then there's Lily Rabe. Playing Amelia Earhart was a good casting decision.
She's another AHS regular. Always adds a certain intensity, you know?
And we can't forget Finn Wittrock. He was Harry, a writer in Provincetown.
Wittrock is like that reliable friend who always shows up. Solid performance, as usual.

New Blood (and Some Questionable Choices)
Now, for the new faces. Some were a hit, some... well, let's just say opinions varied.
Neal McDonough showed up as President Eisenhower. Honestly, he nails the stern, authoritative vibe.
His eyes were just piercing. I wouldn’t want to play poker against him.
Kaia Gerber was also there. Playing Kendall Carr, a young woman caught in the alien conspiracy.
Look, I'm not going to lie. Gerber is stunning, no doubt. But I’m just not sure the acting was quite there yet.

Then there's Nico Greetham as Cal. He's cute and has a strong presence, but did his character do anything relevant?
I am not really sure what to say besides he was cute.
Unpopular Opinion Time!
Here's where I might get some flak. Ready?
Death Valley felt… disjointed. The black and white flashbacks didn't quite mesh with the modern-day stuff.
I enjoyed the actors. The story was just too much at once.

And honestly, the whole alien plot? Maybe it's just me, but it felt a little too out there. Even for AHS.
I prefer my horror with a bit more… grounded craziness.
The performances were mostly good. The writing and the pacing felt rushed. Did anyone else feel that way?
It seems like AHS crammed too many things into a small space.
Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe always bring it. Regardless of how I feel about the season overall.

Those two can do no wrong in my book. I’d watch them read the phone book.
Look, I still love American Horror Story. Even when it's a bit of a mess. It is a guilty pleasure.
I just wish Death Valley had focused its energy a little more. Less alien baby drama, more character development? That’s my plea.
What did you think of the cast? And more importantly, am I the only one who felt a little underwhelmed?
Let’s discuss because I feel so alone in my opinions.
