American Horror Stories Season 2 Episode 2 Recap

A Creepy Cruise Gone Hilariously Wrong: "American Horror Stories" Season 2, Episode 2 Recap
Ahoy, horror fans! Remember that vacation you were dreaming of? Well, after watching "American Horror Stories: Necro," you might be sticking to staycations for a while.
This episode takes us on a luxury cruise liner, the SS Great Azalea, where things are definitely not smooth sailing. Think "The Love Boat" meets, well, a whole lot of dead bodies.
The Love Triangle from Hell (Literally)
We're introduced to a quirky trio: Lacey, her fiancé Doug, and his best friend Marco. Marco is the lovable goofball that instantly won my heart.
Must Read
Lacey is the control freak. Doug is the naive, kinda clueless groom-to-be. This sets the stage for awkwardness and some major side-eye moments.
But things take a turn for the weird when Doug starts acting...different. Turns out, he's been bitten by something nasty and develops an insatiable hunger.
Zombie Doug: Wedding Bells and Brain Cells
Forget cold feet, Doug's got cold everything! He's slowly transforming into a zombie, and his appetite isn't limited to wedding cake.

The humor comes from the sheer absurdity of it all. Picture a pre-wedding photoshoot with a groom desperately trying to hide his decaying face.
And let's not forget Marco's hilariously oblivious attempts to "help" his buddy, oblivious to the fact that Doug needs brains, not band-aids.
A Corpse Bride...Maybe?
Lacey, bless her heart, is determined to go through with the wedding, zombie groom or not. Her commitment is impressive, or maybe just terrifying.

She sees her perfect day slipping away. But the only thing she can do is spray some perfume to get rid of the dead body smell.
"Till death do us part" takes on a whole new meaning in this episode.
Marco Saves the Day (Sort Of)
Marco, bless his simple soul, figures out what's going on. He ends up saving Lacey from a hungry Doug.
In a moment of pure, unadulterated heroism, he makes a decision that’s both shocking and surprisingly sweet. He volunteers to be the zombie’s new food source.

Though, I'm still laughing about how nonchalantly he accepts his fate. Poor Marco!
The Moral of the Story? Pack Extra Brains
“Necro” isn’t just scary; it’s a darkly comedic tale about love, friendship, and the lengths people will go to for commitment. Even when one of them is a walking corpse.
This episode reminds us that even in the face of impending doom, there's always room for a little morbid humor. And maybe a whole lot of hand sanitizer.

Would I recommend going on a cruise after watching this? Probably not. But would I recommend watching "Necro" for a good laugh and a few shivers? Absolutely!
So, set sail for some quirky horror fun. Just remember to double-check your fiancé for bite marks before you say "I do."
Plus, keep an eye on Marco! He might just steal the whole show. I secretly wish I can see more of him in future episodes.
Finally, remember that American Horror Stories doesn't disappoint, even when the plots are crazy!
