Okay, people. Let's talk about "Butterflies". You know, that show everyone's obsessed with.

Specifically, episode one. Am I the only one who felt…underwhelmed?

The Hype Train Left Me Behind

Seriously, everyone was raving. “Best pilot EVER!” they cried. I went in expecting fireworks.

What I got was… a slow burn. Maybe too slow?

Meet the Main Characters (Or Do We?)

We meet Ava, our supposed protagonist. She seems nice enough. But did I really connect with her in the first episode?

Not really. It felt like we were just skimming the surface. Like speed-dating instead of actually getting to know her.

And then there’s Ethan. The mysterious love interest. Brooding. Introspective. Yawn.

I need more, people! Give me some charisma! A reason to root for this guy!

The Plot Thickens (Eventually)

Okay, there's a central mystery, I'll give it that. Someone’s gone missing. Dramatic music swells.

But the clues felt… vague. Like breadcrumbs thrown into a hurricane. Good luck finding those, Ava!

Honestly, I spent most of the episode wondering when something, anything, was actually going to happen.

Unpopular Opinion Alert!

Here it comes. Brace yourselves. I think the pacing was off.

It felt like the writers were trying to build suspense. But they just ended up stretching things out too much.

I get it. You want to create atmosphere. But a little more plot, please? With a side of snappy dialogue?

The Visuals Were Pretty, Though

Okay, I’ll admit it. The show looks gorgeous. The cinematography is on point.

The scenery is beautiful. The costumes are stunning. My eyeballs were definitely happy.

But pretty pictures alone don't make a great show. We need substance! Depth!

Maybe It's Just Me?

Look, I’m not saying "Butterflies" is terrible. Far from it.

It has potential. Lots of potential. But episode one just didn’t grab me the way it seemed to grab everyone else.

Am I missing something? Did I blink and miss the earth-shattering plot twist?

Or am I the only one who thought it was just… okay?

The Cliffhanger (Sort Of)

They leave us with a cliffhanger, of course. A new piece of evidence. A potential suspect.

Will I tune in for episode two? Probably. I’m a sucker for a good mystery, after all.

But my expectations are definitely tempered. Let’s hope things pick up, shall we?
