All King Kong And Godzilla Movies In Order

Okay, let's talk giant monsters. Specifically, the big boys: King Kong and Godzilla. We're diving headfirst into every. single. movie. In order. Wish me luck.
Kong's Kingdom: From Skull Island to...Tokyo?
First up, the OG King Kong (1933). Classic. Fay Wray screams a lot. It's charmingly vintage and slightly terrifying. You know, for its time.
Then, Son of Kong (1933). Seriously? Less than a year later? Little Kong is...weird. I'm not convinced he needed to exist. Unpopular opinion, maybe?

Next, King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962). Finally, a showdown! Cheesy special effects? Absolutely. But pure, unadulterated monster fun. I'm here for it.
King Kong Escapes (1967) brings us Mechani-Kong. Yes, a robot Kong. It's as bonkers as it sounds. It feels like a fever dream.
Jump ahead to King Kong (1976). Jessica Lange! More serious tone. Still has that giant ape appeal, though. I'm more a fan of this version.
King Kong Lives (1986). Kong needs a heart transplant. Seriously. And finds a lady Kong. It's...something. Let's just move on.
Peter Jackson's King Kong (2005) is a visual feast. Naomi Watts is fantastic. It's long, but epic. I think it is a masterpiece.
Finally, Kong: Skull Island (2017). Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson battling giant monsters? Sign me up! A welcome update to the Kong lore.
We need to remember, Godzilla vs. Kong (2021). It's ridiculous, over-the-top, and I loved every minute. MonsterVerse is in full swing!
And last but not least, King Kong x Godzilla: The New Empire (2024). Kong and Godzilla team up! What could go wrong?

Godzilla's Rampage: From Tokyo to...Everywhere?
Now, onto the Big G! The original Godzilla (1954). A somber reflection on nuclear devastation. Seriously powerful stuff. Much darker than you expect.
Godzilla Raids Again (1955). Two Godzillas! More monster mayhem. The special effects are hilariously dated, of course.
Then, King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962). Kong again!
Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964). Mothra is adorable. Even when she's battling a giant lizard. Giant monsters fighting each other is awesome.
Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster (1964). Three heads are better than one? Maybe. Ghidorah is a formidable foe.
Invasion of Astro-Monster (1965). Aliens! Brain control! It's getting weird. I actually enjoy the weirdness.
Ebirah, Horror of the Deep (1966). Godzilla vs. a giant lobster? This exists. It's surprisingly fun.
Son of Godzilla (1967). Baby Godzilla! He's...interesting looking. Let's just say he's not the cutest kaiju.
Destroy All Monsters (1968). All the monsters! A massive monster brawl. Pure, unadulterated chaos and I LOVE it.

All Monsters Attack (1969). A kid dreams of Godzilla. It's...different. Many fans are not fond of this one.
Godzilla vs. Hedorah (1971). A smog monster! Very eco-conscious. It's also pretty disturbing.
Godzilla vs. Gigan (1972). Gigan is terrifying. Seriously, look at those claws! One of the most brutal Godzilla foes.
Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973). Jet Jaguar! A robot hero. The movie is wonderfully campy.
Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974). Mechagodzilla's debut! A worthy adversary. The fight scenes are intense.
Terror of Mechagodzilla (1975). More Mechagodzilla action! A satisfying conclusion to the Showa era. I like this one more than the previous.
Godzilla (1984). A darker, more serious Godzilla returns. Back to the roots. A decent comeback.
Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989). Godzilla vs. a giant rose monster? It's...unique. The special effects are impressive for their time.

Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991). Time travel! And a robotic King Ghidorah! The plot is insane, but fun.
Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992). Mothra returns! This time with a darker edge. Always a treat to see Mothra.
Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993). Another Mechagodzilla! This one is even more powerful. The battles escalate.
Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla (1994). Godzilla's clone from space! It's...weird. Some fans love it, some hate it.
Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995). A powerful foe! Godzilla is melting down! A dramatic and emotional ending to the Heisei era.
Godzilla (1998). The American Godzilla! Let's just say, it's controversial. I don't hate it as much as others, unpopular opinion, I know.
Godzilla 2000 (1999). Godzilla's back! Ready to rumble. A new millennium, a new Godzilla movie.
Godzilla vs. Megaguirus (2000). Giant dragonfly monsters! It's a wild ride. The effects are getting better.
Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (2001). All the classics! A darker Godzilla again. The fights are epic.

Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla (2002). Yet another Mechagodzilla! But this one has a twist. The designs keep getting cooler.
Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. (2003). More Mechagodzilla action! Mothra returns to help. Kaiju tag-team action!
Godzilla: Final Wars (2004). Godzilla vs. everyone! A bonkers, over-the-top celebration of the franchise. An insane amount of monsters!
Godzilla (2014). A return to serious Godzilla! Great visuals. Bryan Cranston is awesome. A solid reboot.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019). All the classic monsters! Rodan, Mothra, Ghidorah! Monster mayhem on a massive scale.
Then, Godzilla vs. Kong (2021). Kong again!
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024). Kong and Godzilla team up!
And Finally, Godzilla Minus One (2023). A terrifying and emotional return to form! It's incredible!
So, there you have it. Every Godzilla and King Kong movie. In order. My brain hurts. But it was worth it. Right?
