His comments about "hippies" and "illegitimate heirs" are hilariously outdated. But that's the point, isn't it?

You can almost hear him yelling that line, can't you? Priceless.

Spoiler alert: David isn't Mike's son after all. A simple blood test clears everything up. Crisis averted.

But did it feel a little...too neat? I mean, wouldn't it have been more interesting if he was Mike's son?

Imagine the ongoing tension, the co-parenting struggles! Now that's a sitcom plotline. Instead, it was a quick resolution.

Gloria Stivic is often the glue that holds the family together. She shows empathy and understanding. Even when Archie is being...Archie.

She tries to comfort Mike and support him through this ordeal. Her heart is always in the right place.

She's the voice of reason in a household filled with chaos. We love Gloria for that!

"Mike's Mysterious Son" is a solid episode. It has the classic All in the Family elements. Conflict, comedy, and a touch of social commentary.

But compared to some of the other heavy hitters from Season 3? It doesn't quite reach the same level.

The problem? David's character feels underdeveloped. The ending feels too convenient. Still, worth a watch for the Archie moments alone!
