All How To Train Your Dragon Movies And Series

Okay, let's talk Dragons. We all love them, right? But maybe, just maybe, we don't all love them equally. Buckle up, because some of my opinions might ruffle some feathers. (Dragon feathers, naturally.)
The Original: A Masterpiece (Duh!)
How to Train Your Dragon (2010) is perfect. Plain and simple. It's got heart, humor, and dragons! What more could you want?
Hiccup's awkward charm? Toothless's adorable grumpiness? The epic score? Yeah, it’s got it all.
Must Read
My Hot Take: Astrid's Not That Interesting (Sorry!)
Okay, deep breath. Don't hate me, but Astrid is… fine. She's tough and capable, sure.
But compared to Hiccup's inventive spirit and Toothless's dragon-y personality? She just feels a little… generic. I said what I said.
How to Train Your Dragon 2: Growing Up (and Getting Sad)
The sequel took things darker. Stoick's death? Still gets me every time. Seriously, who allowed that scene?

It's a great movie, no doubt. But it's also the one where I keep a box of tissues nearby. Be prepared!
My Hot Take: Drago Bludvist Is Overrated (Boo!)
Yeah, he's big and scary. And he controls dragons with… his sheer force of will? Kinda lame if you ask me.
He is just not as compelling as other villains. He is too simple and blunt.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World: A Bittersweet Goodbye
The final chapter. Sniff. Hiccup and Toothless saying goodbye? Double sniff.
It was a beautiful ending, visually stunning with a beautiful message. But also? So sad.
My Hot Take: Light Fury Is Kind of Annoying (Hear Me Out!)
I know, I know, Toothless deserves love. But the Light Fury? She felt a little… forced. Like a plot device more than a character.
There, I said it. Maybe I just miss Toothless's single-dragon dad life.

The Series: Expanding the World (with Varying Success)
Let's be honest, the series are a mixed bag. Some episodes are great, others are… well, they exist.
Race to the Edge had some solid moments, expanding the dragon lore and giving us some fun new characters.
My Hot Take: Heather Deserved More (Justice for Heather!)
Heather was awesome! Smart, resourceful, and a total badass. Why wasn't she a bigger part of the main story?

She could have been a main character!
In Conclusion: We Still Love Dragons!
Despite my controversial opinions, I still love the How to Train Your Dragon franchise. It's a world full of heart, humor, and amazing creatures.
Even if I think Astrid is just "okay" and the Light Fury is a bit annoying, I'll still be first in line for any future dragon-related adventures. Because, well, dragons.
What are your unpopular How to Train Your Dragon opinions? Let me know! (But be nice, please. I bruise easily.)
