Alice In The Country Of Clover Cheshire Cat Waltz

Okay, let's talk Alice in the Country of Clover: Cheshire Cat Waltz. It's a game. It's got romance. It's got a grinning cat. What's not to love?
Well, maybe a few things. Prepare yourself. I have some potentially controversial opinions about Chesshire Cat.
Unpopular Opinion Time
Firstly, I think he's... overrated. I said it! Everyone swoons. Everyone wants him. I just don't get it.
Must Read
Is it the disappearing act? The creepy smile? I'm not entirely sure. But something about him just doesn't click with me.
Don't get me wrong, his design is cool. I appreciate the aesthetic. But personality-wise? Meh.
He's a Bit... Much
He's always popping up unexpectedly. Which, I guess, is his thing. But it gets old pretty fast, doesn't it?
Like, can a girl get some personal space? Maybe have a conversation without a floating head interrupting?

And the riddles! Oh, the riddles. I appreciate a good puzzle. But his are often just nonsensical. Am I right?
He speaks like he knows everything. He's all mysterious and aloof. Honestly, he probably just makes it up as he goes along.
The Competition is Stiff
The thing is, Alice in the Country of Clover is full of interesting characters. Why settle for a cat that phases in and out of existence?
There's Julius Monrey. The clockmaker with the sad past? So much more depth there.

And don't even get me started on Blood Dupre. A mafia boss with a sweet tooth? Now that's intriguing.
Even the Hatter is more appealing to me. At least he's consistently bonkers. Cheshire just feels like he's trying too hard.
He's Just Not My Type
Maybe it's a matter of personal preference. Some people love the mysterious, aloof type.
I, however, prefer my love interests to be a little more... grounded. A little less likely to vanish into thin air.

I'm not saying he's a bad character. He serves his purpose. He adds to the Wonderland weirdness.
But as a romantic interest? He's just not my cup of tea. Or should I say, not my mushroom tea?
I'm Ready for the Backlash
I know, I know. This is blasphemy to some of you. You're probably sharpening your pitchforks right now.
But hear me out. I'm not saying he's the WORST character. I'm just saying he's not my favorite.

There are other, arguably better, love interests in the game. Give them a chance!
Plus, his route isn't even the most exciting one. There I said it. I prefer the garden. Much better plot!
Maybe I'm just missing something. Maybe I need to play his route again. Maybe I'll finally understand the appeal. But for now, I remain unconvinced.
So, let the hate mail commence. But before you send it, ask yourself: Have you really considered all the other options in Alice in the Country of Clover?
Maybe, just maybe, you'll see things my way. Or maybe you'll just think I'm crazy. Either way, thanks for reading!
