Okay, let's talk about American Horror Story: Delicate, aka AHS Season 12, which we're all impatiently waiting for. But a question always pops into my mind when a new season is brewing: How many episodes are we getting?
It's like a guessing game every single time! Will it be a quick and terrifying sprint? Or a slow burn, filled with character development and creepy crawlies? The suspense is real.

Looking back at the AHS episode history is… revealing. Some seasons went all-in with 13 episodes. Think Asylum and Hotel – long, juicy stories!

Then you have the seasons that decided to keep things tighter. Roanoke only had 10 episodes. It was a shocker, but the pace was relentless!
More recently, we've seen a trend towards shorter seasons. Double Feature was split, but still concise. NYC? Only 10 episodes. Shorter seasons seem to be the new norm!
Why Does it Matter, Anyway?
Why do we even care about the episode count, you ask? Well, it totally impacts the viewing experience. A shorter season can mean more focused scares.
Less filler, more thrills! But, I hate to admit it, I like filler.
A longer season lets the story breathe. More time to get to know the characters. And more time for Ryan Murphy to throw in unexpected plot twists.
My Unpopular Opinion: More is More!
Here's where I might lose some of you. I actually prefer the longer seasons of American Horror Story. Hear me out!
Yes, sometimes they get a little… meandering. But I love the world-building! I love the random subplots that go nowhere.
I want to be fully immersed in the horror. I want to spend weeks (or months!) dissecting every little detail. A quick 10-episode season just doesn’t quite cut it for me.
Speculating About Delicate
So, what about AHS: Delicate? Based on recent trends, I'm expecting somewhere between 8 and 10 episodes.
I think it makes sense, given the source material. Danielle Valentine's novel "Delicate Condition" could make for a compact, intense story arc.
Maybe they'll surprise us with more. A girl can dream, right?
The Waiting Game
Ultimately, only time will tell how many episodes AHS: Delicate will grace us with. Until then, we'll keep speculating.
