After Further Review The Bears Still Suck

Okay, let's be honest. We all saw it coming, right? The pre-season hype. The whispers of a turnaround. Nope.
After further review...the Chicago Bears still suck.
The Offense: A Symphony of Incompletion
Our offense is... well, it's a thing. A thing that happens on the field. Sometimes it even gains a yard or two.
Must Read
Justin Fields tries. He really, really tries. Bless his heart. But throwing to receivers who are blanketed tighter than my grandma's quilts? That's a tough ask.
And the offensive line? They're like a revolving door for defensive linemen. Quick question: can offensive lines hold the blocks?
Coaching, or Lack Thereof
Let's not forget the play calling. Predictable? You betcha. Imaginative? About as much as a beige wall.

I honestly believe my dog could come up with more creative schemes while chasing squirrels. Speaking of, are they even trying?
Maybe we should just let Matt Eberflus call defensive plays only? Just a thought.
The Defense: Bend, Don't Break... Until They Do
Okay, maybe the defense isn't quite as bad. But "not quite as bad" doesn't win championships, folks. It barely wins you a participation trophy.
They can occasionally force a turnover. But then the offense promptly gives it right back. It's a vicious cycle of futility.

The pass rush? It's more like a pass rush. As in, a quick jog towards the quarterback before giving up.
Special Teams? Special-ly Bad!
And then there's special teams. I have no words, but I will use some anyway.
Muffed punts. Missed field goals. Questionable return decisions. It's a comedy of errors, except nobody's laughing. Seriously. Send help!

The Hope (Or Lack Thereof)
Every year, we tell ourselves, "This is the year!" We drink the Kool-Aid. We buy the jerseys. We invest our emotional energy. And every year... disappointment.
Maybe, just maybe, there's a glimmer of hope for the future. Maybe some of these draft picks will pan out. Maybe the coaching staff will figure things out. Maybe pigs will fly.
But for now? After further review, the Chicago Bears still suck. Don't @ me.
We all know it's true. Deep down, we all accept. So let's embrace the suck, and hope for a brighter, less sucky future.

Until then, I'll be over here, questioning all my life choices.
Bear Down? More like Bear... barely moving.
Alright, I'm done. Time to go watch cat videos and forget I'm a Bears fan.
(Sigh)
