A Million Little Things Season 1 Episode 6

"The Game of Life" – More Like the Game of Drama, Am I Right?
Okay, let's dive into A Million Little Things Season 1 Episode 6, "The Game of Life." Remember that one? Everyone’s playing metaphorical games, and maybe a few real ones too. Honestly, sometimes this show feels like a competition for who can have the most problems. And I'm watching from the sidelines with popcorn.
Eddie and the Guitar: A Love Story (of Sorts)
First off, Eddie. Always with the guitar! This episode really highlights his struggles. Trying to get gigs, battling his demons, it's a whole thing. I get it, addiction is serious, but sometimes I just want to yell, "Put down the guitar and go to therapy!"
And his affair with Delilah? Woof. Talk about messy. Seriously, couldn’t these people just use their words? Maybe a therapist would have helped.
Must Read
Delilah: Juggling Grief and Secrets
Speaking of Delilah, she's dealing with John’s death and keeping a major secret. She's basically a walking, talking pressure cooker. I actually felt bad for her in this episode. But then I remembered the affair and felt less bad.
The whole "fake it 'til you make it" vibe with her business? Relatable! We’ve all been there, pretending we know what we're doing. Though, maybe not while grieving the sudden death of our spouse and hiding a pregnancy.

Rome and Regina: A Tough Conversation
Then there's Rome and Regina. They're navigating some tough stuff, too, right? I appreciate their honesty with each other. They talk about his depression in an open way. It’s nice to see them actually communicating.
However, sometimes their drama feels a bit… heavy-handed? Like, we get it, life is hard! But maybe a little lightheartedness wouldn't hurt. I mean, couldn’t they find a fun hobby together?

Gary: The "Fun" Friend, Always With Advice
Ah, Gary. The ever-present comedian who dishes out relationship advice. Let’s be honest, his advice is often questionable. I do like that he tries, though. He's got a good heart under all the sarcastic remarks.
His support of Maggie is amazing. Their story is actually pretty great. He does the thing that nobody likes to do, tell it like it is.

Maggie: Battling Cancer, and...Gary?
And Maggie, fighting cancer and trying to figure out her life. Her journey is a tough one, but she's also kind of inspiring. She seems to be the most straightforward character in the show.
I love Gary and Maggie together. They're actually kind of adorable. I have a secret crush on them as a couple.

My Unpopular Opinion: This Episode Was a Bit Much
Okay, here's my unpopular opinion: this episode was a bit much. Everyone's secrets and lies and emotional turmoil... it's a lot to take in one sitting. Like the writers decided to turn up the drama dial to eleven. Sometimes I need a break from all the feels!
I love this show, but sometimes I feel like the characters are just trying to one-up each other with their problems. And I'm just sitting here thinking, "Can someone catch a break, please?" So maybe this episode wasn’t my favorite. But still, I'll be back for the next one. Because, let’s face it, I'm addicted to the drama.
Just me, or do you feel the same?
