9 Perfect Strangers Season 1 How Many Episodes

Remember Nine Perfect Strangers? Me too... vaguely.
It was a whole thing back in 2021. People were talking about it. I was probably scrolling through TikTok instead.
But let's get down to brass tacks. How many episodes did this wellness retreat drama actually have?
The Answer You're Probably Looking For
Okay, drumroll please... There were eight episodes in Nine Perfect Strangers season one. Not nine. Bit of a misnomer, isn't it?
Must Read
I mean, they could have stretched it. Imagine an extra hour of forced bonding exercises. Shudder.
But eight it is. Eight episodes of Masha Dmitrichenko doing her thing. And a whole lot of other stuff I'm still trying to piece together.
A Quick Recap (Kind Of)
So, a group of troubled souls rocks up to Tranquillum House. All lured in by the promise of transformation. And Nicole Kidman's hypnotic gaze.
Spoiler alert: things get weird. Really, really weird. Think microdosing, emotional breakdowns, and past lives.

And frankly, I was often left wondering what was actually going on. Anyone else feel the same?
My Unpopular Opinion
Here's where I might lose some of you. I think eight episodes was... enough. Maybe even too many?
Hear me out! The plot felt a little stretched at times. Did we really need to see Frances Welty (Melissa McCarthy) write another romance novel scene?
I'm all for character development, but some storylines felt like filler. Anyone else agree?

Don't get me wrong, I love a good quirky drama. But at a certain point, the weirdness felt a little... forced.
Could It Have Been Shorter?
Imagine if they'd trimmed it down to six episodes. Lean, mean, drama machine. Cutting out some of the fluff.
We could have still had all the key moments. The confrontations, the revelations, the questionable wellness practices.
Maybe even kept the suspense tighter. Leaving us wanting more, instead of just wanting it to end.

The Power of Limited Series
There's something magical about a tightly-paced limited series. Every episode counts. No time for filler.
Shows like Mare of Easttown and The Queen's Gambit nailed this. Leaving you breathless from start to finish.
Perhaps Nine Perfect Strangers could have joined those ranks with a bit of strategic editing.
Regardless, We Watched
Look, I'm not hating on the show. It was entertaining. Nicole Kidman was amazing (as always).

The cast was stellar. And the premise was intriguing. It’s about people trying to fix themselves, right?
And let's be honest, we were all probably a little bit bored in 2021. So, eight episodes of weirdness was a welcome distraction.
The Final Verdict
So, the answer is eight. Eight episodes of Nine Perfect Strangers.
Whether that's the perfect amount or not is up for debate. But hey, at least now you know!
And if you're feeling brave, maybe give it a rewatch. See if you agree with my slightly controversial take. Enjoy!
